I'll Take Todd Haley for a hundred, Alex

Ok, I realize that most of you are not going to like this observation, but I'm going to make it anyway: We'd have been better off keeping Todd Haley as our coach than hiring Andy Reid. Yeah, I said it.

This whole franchise lacks.......balls. And not the over/under-inflated kind either. Haley was obviously learning on the job as to how to be a head coach, so he clearly made some mistakes. However, he knew that given the talent that Scooter had provided, the ONLY way for him to be competitive was to roll the dice and take some chances. Clearly, some of said chances were real boners, but the guy had cojones.

Plus, Haley had zero support from his boss who handcuffed him Mr Cassel, and didn't he have Tyler Palko as his backup QB? Those guys weren't pro-caliber QBs, heck they weren't much more than answers to trivia questions.

Haley also wasn't going to put up with pussy-footed players.....period. See DJ and Bowe about that.

Instead we now have Andy Reid who selected Alex "The Accountant" Smith as his "dynamic" QB. BTW, did you hear Smith after the game? Calmly assessed it as "only one game" and "there's a lot of football left" bullshit. And of course Reid took responsibility for the game, but Lord have mercy, what in the world does THAT mean? Is he gonna put himself in timeout?

I wanna see someone with some PASSION. Not some cool, calculating football "genius" who constantly outthinks himself. I wanted to hear "Totally and Completely Unacceptable", not this mealy-mouthed "My Responsibility" crap.

Anyway, like him or not, I claim we'd be MUCH further down the road to the Super Bowl with Todd Friggin' Haley as coach than we are with the ultra-conservative, don't push the ball down the field, Andy Reid. I can sure as hell guarantee you that Haley's choice for a QB wouldn't be some wanna-be accountant type. He'd have some gunslinger out there who shows some friggin' PASSION.

Frankly, I'm tired of all of the conservative mindlessness within this friggin' organization. Next thing you know, we're gonna change our colors to an electric beige.

Gimme a friggin' break....

Yeah...minus the adjustments, commitment to the run game, or putting his players in position to win.

Let us know when Reid gets to coach a HOF QB as a head coach.

The last time he coached a HOFer, he was part of two Super Bowls in Green Bay.

As long as I'm not like everyone else, I'm okay.

I have a good time.

It's not my fault that everyone else believes in fairy tales.

Yeah.

He also had people like Gruden, Holmgren, Ray Rhodes, Marriucci, Mornhinweg, Reggie McKenzie, Fritz Shurmur, and Gil Haskell on the staff with him...

Scott Pioli helped put together SB winners in New England, but he was dogshit in KC.

Doesn't Matt Cassel have a SB ring??

Your argument has zero substance.

Six of those guys couldn't do shit on their own and Gruden was such a phony that he's never taken a job since being fired.

You're a loon.

Looks like Reid can't do shit on his own neither - especially without Jim Johnson.

2 of those guys have SB rings as head coach.

How many does Reid have??

You must be trolling again, because you make absolutely no sense.

The ****? Cassel threw the ball 450 times in a season under haley. That's as many or more pass attempts as reid keeps asking from smith.

They had a lot more offensive snaps then, because there were plenty of carries for Charles and Jones

Fascinating article on Todd Haley from Tank Tyler's POV. Tyler ****ed up but Haley is confirmed (again) as a smug little prick that nobody likes.

He was almost as bad as Pioli

Tank Tyler SUCKED.

He acts like Haley blackballed him??

Haley did Tyler a FAVOR by trading him. The fact that he couldn't stick in Carolina with John Fox or Chicago with Lovie Smith - two of the best 4-3 coaches in the league - speaks volumes.

Tyler has sour grapes.

"Traded at the height of his career"

He had 42 tackles on a 2 win team...and that is the peak. That's as good as he got.

As soon as he went somewhere with real football players, he wasn't going to get any playing time. Instead of admitting that to himself, he concocted a big conspiracy about how Haley ruined his career lol

If Tyler could play, he would have. I don't EVER remember him being dominant.
