Only 1 losing season since 2000.
Reached the World Series 4 times since 2004 and won as many championships (two) the past eight seasons as it did from 1965 to 2005.

He had the best 11 years of any baseball player in MLB history. Not to just start their career but the best 11 years ever.

I posted this before. I know a guy that works for the Pujols Family foundation. He said he asked Pujols this question, he said you can't go backwards but need to go forward or something like that. Then his wife leaned in and said yes and he didn't correct her.

I'm positive that at some point he is going to say publicly that it was a mistake to leave the Cardinals.

I mean, it worked out the way it did obviously. But the guy was on pace to legitimately be in the vicinity of what Musial is in STL. I don't think he would have surpassed it, but he could have gotten there.

I hate how it worked out, because he was so good for the Cards, yet now he's almost forgotten as a Cardinal

Yeah, but ultimately, keeping him would've crippled the organization. I hated that he left as much as anyone, and I know it's been discussed to death on the forum, but my opinion hasn't changed; The Angels overpaid, Mo made the right decision. Come Back when you're number gets retired, Albert.

Keeping him at what the angels paid, it would have. Mo drew a line and stuck to it. It worked out great and was the right decision, just from a fan perspective, I hate it.

I also hate seeing him and freese struggle the way they are.

Not a good series for my guys, we are having some hitting issues the last 2 weeks. Jimmy Mendoza (Rollins) has been pure ass this year. I cant wait for them to call up Kyle Seagers little Bro. he's going to be really good.

Anyways, see y'all again next weekend in L.A this time!

That was the point, you got a trophy because of him and kept a great team and got better for years after him. Win. Besides without the DH in the NL, Pujols would have been a horrible investment for the Cardinals.

I got to see the greatest player of my time play for my favorite team, I'll always think fondly of Albert.

Plus we lost the greatest player of my time and didn't skip a beat. That's hard to do.
