We are officially out of the running for any of the quarterbacks this year, barring an unforseen trade that is highly unlikely.

Enjoyable win, but as 'Hamas' would say, "pyrrhic."

I don't want the Chiefs to go forward with Orton as the QBotF but I hope the difference is glaring enough that it shows Pioli (or better yet, Clark) that Cassel is most definitely not the answer.
Yep i agree.

If this team doesn't draft a 1st round QB this year, then next year is already pointless...and every year after until we do

I have no real issues hoping for a loss when I'm sitting in front of the big screen at home, but when I've driven 2 1/2 hours to get to Arrowhead at 7am so I can get my tailgating spot I just can't bring myself to cheer for them to lose.
While I don't believe that the win yesterday is going to bring anything good in the future, I was quite happy to see it play out the way it did and do the chant exiting the stadium while 30,000 cheeseheads looked like their world had just ended.
If it was a multiple choice poll, I would have to vote for both.

Slightly off-topic, but when people say this sort of thing it bothers me (as much as a comment on an internet board can bother me, which isn't much.)

If not for a guy named Peyton Manning, Trent Green would have been the top QB in the NFL during his time with us.

He also went toe to toe with Manning in 2003, answering all of their TD's in a playoff game, and would have won that game (and a great chance at the Super Bowl that year) except that Priest Holmes fumbled and gave them an extra possession in a game where nobody punted (which nobody ever wants to talk about because we all love Priest so much). Both defenses sucked in that game.

We also had Joe Montana and he took us to an AFC Championship game. Is he just another "Orton"?

Now, you can say, well, we didn't draft them. That's a different argument all together, though. To call them "Orton's" when you're trying to say Orton isn't good enough is a slap in the face to those QB's, who played damn well for us.

Now, if you want to talk about the fact that those are the only 2 QB's I can mention in my entire 30 year life of being a Chiefs fan, then we'll probably agree.
