The Denver defense which supposedly was the reason they won all those games is really bad today!

After Tamba Hali sacks Aaron Rodgers, Packers offensive lineman
Marshall Newhouse picks up a fumble in the Packers'
first loss of the season.

Packers stymied by Chiefs, lose first game of the year

By Star-Ledger Staff
Published: Sunday, December 18, 2011

There will be no perfect season this year in the NFL. The Kansas City Chiefs, of all teams, made sure of that -- handing the Green Bay Packers a 19-14 loss Sunday.

A superior defensive game plan by interim Chiefs coach Romeo Crennel limited Aaron Rodgers and a Packers offense that had previously run roughshod over the rest of the NFL in winning their first 13 games.

Sunday, Rodgers misfired on more passes (18) than he completed (17) and threw just for just one touchdown.

The Packers (13-1) were held scoreless in the first half, and they entered the fourth quarter trailing for the first time since last December -- when their 19-game winning streak had started.

The Chiefs (6-8), who had looked so hapless a week earlier in a loss to the Jets, were led by Kyle Orton's 299 passing yards. Defensive end Tamba Hali, who grew up in Teaneck, had three sacks of Rodgers.

Way to go Romeo Crennel. Guys like playing for him... /Giants fan
