****Thursday Night Football Colts vs Titans****

Interested to see if the Colts bounce back from their embarrassing loss last week against the Rams.

Titans fresh off their loss to the Jags.

Will it be a good game?

So I really don't know what you do.
Build, build, build - try to win before they get expensive and, IMO, always have an eye out for the QBOTF.

I think I'd use legitimate resources on a QB every other year. Even if you only hit on 1 in 3, that's about how long it would take your 'good' QBs to price themselves out of the market on you. And if you hit on a great one, you pay to keep him for as long as you can.

So if I'm the Dolphins, knowing that I'm probably going to have to face a silly decision on Tannehill in 2016, I'm putting QBs on my draft board in 2014. If I see a guy with some potential that slides a bit, I'd take him. You just can't leave yourself without any leverage anymore because these QBs and their agents will absolutely murder you.

It's like buying a car at this point - unless it's a Bugatti, you'd better be willing to walk away...

Problem there is, you have to use those big resources to try and put the talent around said qb to see if he's the guy or not.

A lot of times, by the time they figure out he's not, it's either time to pay, or you've already paid and it's too late.

I think I'd do the same though, but I'd be much more available to trading said qb before a decision becomes a fact.

Well nobody said it was easy to build a winner...

Look at Kaepernick. The 49ers are going to have to make a decision on him after next season. Based on hype alone, that kid's going to want top 10 QB money. Well look at how the top QB deals are going right now - in 2015, a top 10 QB's going to be about $18-20 million in cap space.

So are they cool losing Aldon Smith and Michael Crabtree because of that deal? They may not have a choice.

It's just an interesting dilemma.

I noticed today that for all the talk about how easy it is to pass and the rules are so slanted towards passing that the top 10 defenses are giving up less than 218 yards a game passing, Houston is giving up 167 (crazy) and the 15th best pass defense Stl is only giving up 237 yards a game.

Yet somehow according to many on CP there are 20 franchise QB's and if you dont throw 30 yards down the numbers all the time you lose.

Something isnt adding up.

'Zag'

There is never going to be a 'new' NFL, only a 'now' NFL. Coaches are too smart and have too much time on their hands. Nothing's going to work forever.

Fleener left 3 points on the field on that last drive by running out of bounds after his long catch rather than fighting for 5 or 10 more yards after his long catch against DB's smaller than him. He ran out of bounds just shy of field goal range and the drive stalled. Soft football.

Yeah, that was pretty bad. He had a full head of steam and about 30 lbs on the guy lining him up. If he just puts a shoulder bad into the guys chest, he gets another 3-5 yards pretty easily.

It's going to be pretty funny when the Colts scrap this Richardson experiment. Donald Brown is clearly the better runner.
