Anyway. I don't see the issue. Women weren't allowed to do lots of things back in the day. Now they're cops, firefighters, soldiers etc. Not that this had anything to do with casting of the original movie, but it would make sense that some "Ghostbusters" would be women.

Would it make more sense to have a mixed cast of males and females? Yes, but I'm not going to go apeshit over it.

This is legitimate criticism. I'd agree with most of it, and that it is a cash grab. Not to mention the casting of Liam Hemsworth is blatant pandering.

I agree that a complete reboot is a bad idea and that it'll be a big disappointment. To act as though the original never happened seems disrespectful.

I just think that focusing on the female cast as a primary problem is derpy. It could have been done differently. Probably should have been. If they were new recruits with the former male leads still intact or something.

Apparently, this wasn't made with guys like you and I in mind. That sucks, so don't see it, but you probably still will.

The only issue i have is with all the great talent involved, why didnt they go create something original? Like they did with Bridesmaids.

I hate how everything has to be a "name brand" these days.

Actually. I think the original demo was small. Guys would have seen the movies, but they probably aren't going to buy toys, clothing, games and the dvd release in hoards.

Their demo is now the same as TMNT and Transformers. Why else would they have made the changes they did?
