My only consolation is trying to know more about sports than most other guys. It's probably why I put so much focus into fantasy baseball. I don't HATE the Cardinals, though (Some fans? Sure. You have a lot of douchy t-shirt followers, just like any good team). This board actually has my favorite collection of Cardinals fans on the interwebs. Good balance of knowledge, fandom and objectivity.

Hypothetically you guys need to trade for a closer, who you would rather have - Greg Holland or Jim Johnson?

Obviously you guys know why I'm a Mizzou and Cardinals fan, but I have a good explanation for the Packers, one that was my grandfathers fav team and two St.Louis didn't have a football team when I first started getting into sports, I'm only 29. The Packers sucked serious balls when I first started watching them so no I'm not a bandwagoner.

Holland's FIP is 40% of Johnson's and his K rate is over twice as high. That's just asinine.

Holland in a walk. EDIT: Oh...I see that this was actually in response to ChiefsandO's Fan. My opinion on Orioles fans is stated a few times here already - they're just cute. It's like they're all 8 year olds anytime the Orioles do something even remotely decent. "Our closer is the bestest closer in the whole world and we would trade him for anything!" Then they'll try to offer the 5 worst players on their roster for your best player "Because 5 is more than 1, so 5 is better". Orioles fans....they're just so dang adorable.

Side note:
Chiefs and Os would like to know what the Cardinals think of the following trade offer that helps both teams... Jon Schoop Jair Jurrjens Jake Arrieta Xavier Avery for Matt Holliday and Kolten Wong Sure, Matt Holliday is an established slugger, but he hasn't faced the pitching in the best division in baseball, the AL East, so he's not as good as he seems. The Cardinals don't have room for Wong, who is blockd by Carpenter and Freese. Plus, the Cards get a top 100 prospect and two upside pitchers back. And Xavier Avery has good speed and surprising pop.

It's the same damn thing every single time with those idiots. Every trade offer is the same (as you noted in your later post) and every argument is identical. It's simply how they breed them in Oriole-land.

Trevor Rosenthal is better than either. Damn sure wouldn't trade him for either of those 2.
