Because Reynolds' K's are offset by drawing a large number of walks. You can't run a guy out there who gets on base less than 30 percent of the time. It's just murdererous to a lineup.

Grichuk should never bet against a RHP, and he's helpless against breaking pitches. He has some value, but it's extremely limited.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. They've played two shitty games in a row. It happens. If they had lost the SNB game against Greinke and won tonight would you really feel that bad about them?

Problem right now is that we have a glut of OFers who all do the same things: great d, terrible hitting (or in the case of Jay, bad D, terrible hitting).

Heyward has to play everyday now. He's got the ability to sustain the lineup. He may never do it (seems likely he wont) but he's gotta have the at bats. I can't imagine it's helped the guy out sitting like he has lately when he's actually been hitting the ball better.
Just play him in right everyday, Bourjos in center and let jay and Grichuk **** around in left.

They have not lost many games this year that they should have won. This was one of them.

They play .540 ball the rest of the way they end up with 92 wins. That gets us in the playoffs.

Ya it's just to bad Carpenter has went into a slump. If He gets the day off and Kozma starts all you can do is lol at that lineup.

**** Jay. Give Grichuk a chance to play regularly. He's hitting .275 with some power. Jay has to be close to the mendoza line with no power. This is the perfect time with Holliday out.

But Jay is a Mathey favorite and he will keep getting played no matter how bad he gets. See Craig if you doubt.
