Fisher officially in at RT for Monday
http://www.kansascity.com/sports/nfl...e36702456.html
Eric Fisher to start at right tackle for Chiefs on Monday vs. Packers BY TEREZ A. PAYLOR tpaylor@kcstar.com Eric Fisher will return to the starting lineup Monday night at Green Bay, Chiefs coach Andy Reid announced Saturday. Fisher, 24, has missed the Chiefs’ last five games as he recovers from a high ankle sprain. He will start at right tackle for Jah Reid, who has started the Chiefs’ first two regular-season games. Fisher was expected to be ready to start at right tackle in the Chiefs’ season opener, but sources told The Star he opted out of the lineup because of concern over his high ankle sprain. Chiefs coach Andy Reid, however, maintained afterward he made the decision to sit Fisher because of the ankle injury. Despite the injury, Fisher has logged three offensive snaps as a reserve at left tackle and 10 special-teams snaps as a blocker on the field-goal unit in the Chiefs’ first two games. He has not played right tackle since his rookie year in 2013, but Reid said Fisher has “done well” in practice this week. “I mean, he had played over there for the year, his first year,” Reid said. “He’s a pretty good athlete. Easy adjustment.” Fisher is listed as probable on the injury report, along with fellow offensive lineman Jeff Allen, who has also missed the Chiefs’ last five games, including preseason, because of a MCL sprain in his knee. “He had a better week this week, so he’s pretty close to 100 percent,” Reid said of Allen. Allen, a full-time starter at left guard in 2013 who missed almost all of 2014 because of injury, opened training camp as the starter at right guard but was inserted as the starting right tackle in the Chiefs’ preseason opener against Arizona, where he injured his knee. |

On the first sac of the day from Michael Johnson, Grubbs literally turned around as he was running past him to go help Fish.

Which is not really even about talent.
Unless we've signed a bunch of stupid players then there is something wrong with our coaching or system. Same thing goes for lack of effort and/or commitment from the players. We have too many problems not tied to talent. If a player can't run fast enough or isn't strong enough to make the play, that's one thing. When players don't know what to do or aren't giving full effort then there is something wrong and changes need to be made.

Fisher is one of 5 tackles in the NFL to not give up a sack or a pressure

His run blocking will come around, he's good in the running game. Getting switch to another position again probably has him off a little.

Fisher is the least of their worries.
The guard spots are still an unmitigated disaster. |

Are we really going to turn a thread about Fisher starting on game into a Fisher megathread? If this thread pops up again I swear I will turn it into an Alex Smith thread.

Stephenson can't play right tackle, no one can play right guard and Fisher is being wasted at right tackle. It's a cluster****. |

As of right now, Fisher is our best Olineman. If he can stop with the penalties then he is more than adequate at right tackle. Fisher is a better RT than Stephenson is an LT. If Fisher didn't have a mess at RG he would probably be even better(just like when Swartz took over RG). Looks like by the end of the season Morse is going to be our 2nd best lineman. Grubb has been a disappointment. Stephenson is what he is, don't think he gets much better.
