Hearing from a source that the Chiefs are planning on running a tackling drill in practice this week. I'm not concerned about stopping the run

Many say that you have to "keep Mahomes in the pocket."

But if you keep him in the pocket, he can still destroy your defense (see Niners and Steelers games)

Denver was definitely game planning to bottle him up in the pocket, because he makes things happen when he scrambles. I would guess we're going to see that game plan most of the time going forward. He'll just need to learn to deal with it.

The narrative that he can't play from the pocket is false

If Jax only wants to play contain, be my guest

Keeping him in the pocket works if the coverage is strong. Denver seemed to do a pretty good job covering the KC receivers. I would think Jaguars will also do a good job as well. Mahomes is gonna have to find a way to pull some rabbits out of the hat.

It appeared that KC's WRs weren't really attempting to stretch the field too often...at least from my limited view from the broadcast.

It made me wonder if this was partially because of altitude coupled with Miller....and Watkins left early.

It definitely didn't look like the same offensive strategy from the first 3 weeks.

I think on the road in very loud environment against two very strong pass rushers in Miller and Chubb, Andy wanted to get the ball out of Pat’s hand ASAP. That is an understandable approach at this early point of his career.

True, but that will work against almost all quarterbacks. The hard part is being able to do it

That's great news. Sammy, numbers or not, opens up this offense too much to not have him against that defense
