Exactly the case. It happened against the Colts also in much the same way.

Yes. If you don't have the protection and players, it's not going to work out most of the time.

Won us a SB and countless other games…. Has come though in the clutch many times.. He has earned a pass from me. Keep being aggressive Patrick, it’s in your DNA.
The more concerning thing to me is the inability to close out games.. Either play calling or execution. It needs ****ing fixed..

The Colts have a winning record. People need to quit treating that like a loss to the ‘08 Lions. Especially when it took a lot of flukey things to make it happen.

I head a few on cp comment that JA is prone to making a mistake if the game is close in the fourth quarter. He has played near flawless football in the past three matchups.

Josh Allen sucks when he can’t run and he’s pressured. We saw the the entire first half as well as his other games in that situation (see Jaguars)

It really seems like there are more than a few people that legit think that it's a failure of Mahomes when he doesn't lead a last minute comeback. I'm not sure if a lot of folks have just started watching football the last few years or maybe they are just spoiled by what Patrick can do, but it's a little tiresome to keep hearing about how "Mahomes lost us this game" when the O line was, as usual, overrated, the D line (minus CJ) was, as usual, a no show (still early but Karlaftis looks like every other Chiefs D lineman not named Chris Jones the past few years), and the secondary was chalk full of rookies. But Mahomes couldn't lead another comeback against a great defense so we should be concerned? Sigh.....

We got another big time run coming.
Eh, we'll see.

The Texans are the only one on there I won't be worried about in the slightest.

My gut says the Seahawks are the kind of team we will expose and the two Super Bowl teams from last year are not looking all that great. Broncos look bad but they're divisional games so they're tricky.

I think we've got a good 5 game win streak in there somewhere, I'm just not sure where exactly.

I am 100% certain Mahomes will own those INTs and the loss, but...

...he trusted MVS to high-point the first pick & the defnder made a better/stronger play
...the Bills were dropping EIGHT into coverage & getting pressure with a three man rush. That pass to Moore was in a typically open space in a zone, but that extra defender was back there because our OTs S U C K

The pass protection needs an enema. This is unacceptable. Two games in a row, they have been absolutely embarrassed by their competition. Yes, it was top flight competition, but this is supposed to be a top-flght Chiefs team! Those are the matchups great players WANT. Instead, we have all learned we have journeyman OTs at best.

Yet we still should have scored 26-30 if not for a missed field goal and Mahomes decision to throw the pick in the endzone...

Unfortunately, his contract plays into this as well. Taking off the red colored glasses for a moment, the Chiefs are going through what most teams do when they pay their QB and let important parts of the team go. It seems that every team the Chiefs face are able to get pressure without blitzing and the Chiefs aren't able to do the same.

The Chiefs have looked dominant against two teams and those two teams haven't looked like world beaters. Feeling fortunate that the Chiefs are 4-2 and not 2-4.

Definitely a growing pains year... Team needs to reload on WR, DL and OL. Patrick is being asked to do a lot and other teams know this and force him into risky plays because he has limited resources around him.

It is concerning, although not really a new thing, that the offense isn't able to close games out when they need to. Can't win them all and the law of averages will catch up to you when relying on low percentage plays to win games.

You can say that about every qb in the nfl. The problem is we can’t pressure him without blitzing.

Went to the game so I have a different perspective after being able to see the whole field. I posted in the game thread that we need WR help and that is because defenses don't fear our WR's so they are squatting on all our routes. This is looking like 2015-2017 Chiefs O and Mahomes is passing like Alex Smith.

We had a few deep shots available yesterday and it is hard to tell why he didn't pull the trigger but he needs to so it backs off the defense. This hurts the run game as well with everyone living within 10 yards of the LOS.

That is not to say we didn't have bad offense when Hill was here but I am concerned about the lack of vertical offense. I love Kelce but he can't be our primary target. Also I am guessing some of this is because our O-line can't hold up that long, probably why teams are playing more man against us than in previous years.

To me that is primary difference right now between us and Bills\Josh Allen. He throws vertical alot and it opens up everything else.

1 TD taken off the board, a fluke redzone INT on a 50/50 ball some turd corner caught, another likely after the bogus Kelce OPI, and a missed FG.

We'll be fine. Chiefs easily still could have put 30 on a defense giving up 12 a game coming in.
