  • Made the postseason 11 times in the last 15 seasons.
  • Only 1 losing season since 2000.
  • Reached the World Series 4 times since 2004 and won as many championships (two) the past eight seasons as it did from 1965 to 2005.
  • Made the NLCS 9 times including the last 4 years 2011-2014
  • Three million attendance? Take it to the bank.
  • 65 post season wins since 2004. 22+ wins more than any other team.

And that is just not right. The team with the 2nd best record in baseball should not have to face the hottest pitcher in baseball in a one and done playoff game.

I like Epsteins idea. Play a doubleheader and use the travel day to play another game. Best out of 3. Still punishes the WC teams. Rewards the division winners. Doesn't increase the days. You would see who really is the better team, not who has the hottest pitcher on staff.

Even though we are in the same division, I think most Cardinal fans don't consider a hated rival. You guys play the game the right way. You fans deserve to see winning playoff baseball. It ain't over but it ain't looking good for your team.

Not some Twitter rumor. It was Matheny at his press conference saying all the tests have been done and nothing physical was found.

Now we know the information from the STL medical staff is suspect but the all clear should have come from the hospital.

I would be shocked if Piscotty doesn't have a concussion. A fast sliding knee to the jaw of two guys running at each other is pretty powerful. Most knock out blows in boxing are shots to the jaw, it's the highest chance of knocking someone out.

Glad he is OK- that was the scariest collision I ever saw live and I don't know of anything else in baseball that looked that horrific.

On a side note, you don't win baseball games leaving 16 men on base, the bases loaded three times, and lastly 1st and 2nd with NO OUTS and not score a single run.

Yep, you had your chances. It was defintely a playoff atmosphere and feel to the game. One mistake, one bad pitch, one hit and the game could be over. Adds a lot of pressure to the players. You see it every year. A routine play like a dribbler up the middle turns into the play that wins the game.

We have been on the positive and negative side of those plays. Its a lot more fun being on the positive side.

Nothing from reliable resources. I would assume he gets a cat scan this am to rule out any bleeding in the brain before he gets released.
