Shooting at TDKR Midnight Premiere in Aurora, CO. Multiple dead.
At least 10 moviegoers were killed and 39 injured at a cinema in the Colorado city of Aurora in the Denver suburbs. They were attending a midnight showing of the new Batman film, The Dark Knight Rises.
The theater was packed with a lot of people, many of them young fans, at the time the shooting started, 9news reports. The violence erupted some 15 minutes after the movie started, witnesses said. Some say that when they first heard the shooting, they thought it was some new type of special effect. Local media reports that two gunmen were involved in the rampage. An explosive device was set off during the shooting, injuring several people. Witnesses said the gunmen were probably wearing body armor and gas masks and used some kind of a tear gas bomb in the attack. Some reports say police have apprehended one of the assailants while the second one is still at large. Police have cleared people from the scene over fears that another explosive device might be on the premises. Aurora medical services were alerted to attend to the large number of injured http://www.rt.com/news/shooting-dark...er-aurora-654/ WOW |

he could've easily gone in with an MP5 and used 9mm rounds. But, I understand your point. |

I know it's just one of the many victims, but the Altitude reporter (with the twitter account linked above) is being talked about a ton around here. Here's a blog about her from my favorite Avs beat writer if anyone's interested.

I thought somewhere in here someone said a person inside the theater went to the door to let him in? Unless that was the guy himself?
Also this guy had obviously been planning this for quite some time considering the state of his apartment. He will not get any type of leniency at all because of that nor should he. I would love for any one that is a family member of a victim be allowed to torture him in any way they wish while he is strapped to a chair. |

can't wait for the other guy to be caught, tried, please insanity or some other BS; go to prison, and file appeal after appeal to delay his execution.
In instances like this where the guilt is overwhelming, tons of witnesses, and the trial is a formality…why don't they just go out to the back of the courthouse or local firing range and smoke him. Wonder how many tax dollars are wasted keeping this POS alive until his execution. |

Sounds true. In my old theater, the doors couldn't be opened from the inside. Employees had to prop the emergency exit doors open when using the halls. If the door closed, they had to radio someone to open them or walk their asses all the way around.

The initial report in the OP mentions multiple gunmen, but that's since been changed.
