Growing up in KC, I never liked St.L, and I've gone out and been there plenty of times. The only thing that St.L has going for it is the fact they have Jeff. city eating out of the palm of their hand, while KC gets scraps in terms of funding.
When it comes to baseball, the last meaningful game St. Louis played in New York ended with 50,000 arrogant New York assholes crying like little girls while the Cardinals celebrated a pennant win in the middle of their field. Inferior to New York? Not at the moment.

I am a St. Louisan born and raised, 34 years living in this city. And I can tell you that EVERY, and I literally mean EVERY person I know here, friends, family, etc. has NOTHING but great things to say about KC. They prefer it to STL and would move there if the opportunity was there.

Whenever I wear Chiefs gear around town, it never fails that someone mentions it, and when I tell them I'm a STH, they talk about how great Arrowhead is, how they wish they had an atmosphere like that, etc. People always mention the Plaza, Nelson-Atkins, etc as well.

There are jackoff fans in EVERY city. I know I don't hold all Chiefs fans responsible for the bullshit I see at Arrowhead EVERY WEEK.

But , hey, if you want to label an entire city, be my guest.

Agree.

I didn't grow up here but have been a Cards fan since following baseball from 60s on....

Lived in W suburbs since moving here in 1978.

I've Never really heard anyone say bad things about KC. They love Arrowhead, Football intensity, BBQ, plaza, etc.

Their are a##hole fans everywhere even here.... I take it with a grain of salt.

I don't see a superiority attitude about the town. State Rivalry sure, same as Chicago /Houston in MLB C divison Baseball.

Sorry dude. St Louis fans are the biggest jerk prick assholes in the world. They think the world revolves around them, when in reality all they are is a piss poor NYC wannabe town.

Bunch of east coast posuer pricks man.

I know some Chiefs/Cards fans who trash Rams fans, but in the same breath talk about how Cardinals fans are the best in all of sports.

Aren't a lot of them the same people?

Rams fans are definitely more bandwagon prone, but if you were a lifelong St. Louis fan and your dipshit owner whisked your other team away, you've definitely got an excuse for adopting a new football team, especially when they've just moved in town.

I'm not saying you can't root for the Chiefs if you are a Cardinals fan. What I am saying is those fans who talk down on the "Rams" fans, but then say the Cardinals and St. Louis fans are great just don't make a whole lot of sense ya know?

I have many dear friends from college who live in St. Louis. My sister moved there for work about 20 years ago.

You can't diss St. Louis baseball fans. They are up there with Boston fans for smarts, Cubs fans for loyalty, and they've won ten World Series. That's something to be proud of.

They can't touch KC for football fans. And Royals fans are incredibly loyal, the team ownership has crapped all over the fans for the last 20 years.

There's many great people in St. Louis. Both cities have their share of jerks. Most the ones in St. Louis live in west and south county, most in KC live in Johnson County.

Just avoid those areas, and you'll be fine!

Honestly, I think it's two very different groups of fans. Sure, there's some overlap, but honestly not a lot.

STL has ALWAYS been a baseball town. First and foremost. MOST (not all) are very knowledgeable when it comes to the game. The Cardinals draw over 3M fans even in bad years. They enjoy baseball period, and I've seen the crowd give an opposing player a standing ovation for a great play, pitching performance, or just reputation (Griffey Jr. after a HR moved him up the list.....as example) on numerous occasions.

Football has usually played 3rd fiddle while here, and probably still would had the Blues Hockey Team not taken a turn for the worse the past few years after the work stoppage.

Football fans here, for the most part ARE NOT knowledgeable, and it shows when you go to a game.

I run into some problems with this. I detest the Rams, yet I love the Cardinals. But again, there's a simple reason for this - I didn't grow up in or near Los Angeles. I root for the teams I always rooted for, and that never included (or will ever include) the Rams. To me, they're just dome pussy interlopers. I wish they'd go back to LA.

It was funny seeing cards fans leave just before the 9th inning started and they were down just 2 runs.
