Stuff You Could Live Without But Must Have Because Of The Quality

I've been going to do this thread for a few months, so here goes.

What are some things that you know of out there, that you may not need, but are in a class of their own. I'm talking top notch stuff, well above just very good, the best of the best and well worth it, because of the extreme quality. Things you would like, or would make great gifts for the right person. I'm not talking high dollar things like cars, lets say around $300, or less. Perhaps this will help with future gift ideas for people.

I'll post two examples:

1. I was trying to hunt down a leather bottle koozie, a cow (hair out) koozie to drink from, out in the man cave. (yeah twisted sense of humor) I looked all over and finally found one, right here in town, after googling the hell out of it. As far as I know, these folks are the only ones out there that make top notch leather koozies.

When I found them, I said the hell with the cow hair and invested in a bison bottle koozie. It's bison hide that's lined in Neoprene with a zipper and all handmade. I tested it all summer and I can safely say, this thing keeps my beer colder longer than anything I have ever tried, not even close. On top of that, the way it's made, it will last forever. I had one knocked out for my brother and my Dad as well. They have several different kinds of hides they can use, including things like shark.

http://www.etsy.com/shop/MontanaRedS...ion_id=8099603

2. If you, or someone in your family likes top notch candy, I'm talking the best you have ever tried, the Parrot Confectionery is a safe bet. These guys have been around along time, the early 50's to be exact and it looks about the same in there, old school. Whenever I'm in Helena, I have to stop for either a hot fudge, or caramel sunday. I also pick up two quarts of each for my parents and bring them back to town. All their stuff is handmade and or hand dipped. If you like candy, or have to pick out a gift for someone else who does, this is a safe bet.

Lets hear it, expain what it is and post a link.

I don't think it's mental. I base that on the fact that I was determined to prove to myself the more expensive balls were no better for a player at my level. But after three rounds with an obviously improved short game I am realizing there is a value.

The problem for me is that I don't mind too much hitting a $1 ball into the desert scrub but losing a $2.50 ball is going to piss me off.

Does anyone here have any experience with purchasing recycled lost golf balls? The best condition balls aren't cheap but they do offer a bit of a savings over new.

Sanuk sandals: They look a bit goofy, but they're SUPER comfortable. Far and away the most comfortable sandal I've ever owned; they're made from yoga mat, and you can definitely tell by the plushness.

Sony Bravia: After purchasing one of these HDTV's, I am a fan for life. IMO, you're not just paying for a name here - the quality surpassed my expectations in every way.

I am usually one to steer clear of cheap jeans, mostly because I can tell the difference in the feel and quality.

I'm also a big fan of Fossil. I have several watches and a real solid leather wallet from them that I truly appreciate.

Food wise, it's hard for me to skimp on bread. Shitty bread just ruins a meal for me, even if it's a snack. For a few quarters more, I think it's worth it to get the "higher end" bread.

After reading all of this, I sound like a snobby, rich bitch. I'm not intending to seem that way; it's mostly just these things. And toilet paper. But I go Walmart brand of Best Choice for a lot of things as well.

God bless my Tempurpedic bed!

That being said I'm also in the market for a nice pair of headphones. Recently I've been looking at Sennheiser. I forgot Denon was even in the market.

Does Sony make their own panels yet? I know for years they did not, one of the reasons Sony hasn't been worth the extra $ in recent years for me.

I have been wanting to scratch this itch, for about three years. I use a Cabela's card for all my business expenses and I used some of my free points to order this Yeti 75 Cooler today. Did I need it, hell no, but it was free and I always wanted one of the damn things. Video and stats below:

HDTV, I mean how could you go back to standard def?? especially if you play xbox, no way.

Good knives for cooking, gots to have it. I keep them sharpened and my knife skills are bad ass now, no way i could go back to crappy knives when I cook.

Good weed. After smoking the best stuff I can find for years, how could you go back to smoking schwag weed like I did way back in the day when I first discovered the wonder plant. Not a chance
