I watched all the game tapes in the OP, and I thought that most of his deep balls seemed accurate, and furthermore, well-placed for the WR to catch it in stride.

Sure, there were some shit throws too.

But I didn't see anything bad enough to write him off over.

I have for years, described Phillip Rivers delivery as 'chunking'. He is the only QB in the league who 'chunks' a ball just like that.

I have also subscribed to the 'if it aint broke dont fix it' school of thought on QB arm mechanics.

After seeing this kid, I think we have a new chunker in town, and my god does it look terrible. I really want to stick with the if it aint broke dont fix it method, but this kid isnt chunkin that bill like Mr. Rivers. Hopefully they can find a happy medium between his natural throwing motion and something that doesnt look like my 8th grade QB.

The guy loves Kevin Hogan and thinks he becomes KCs starter within the next 2 years.

He's probably one of the most "plugged in" guys in sports.

I don't share his view of Hogan, but I thought it was interesting to hear that and thought I'd share.

Can someone point me to specific examples of him "not having an arm?"

I agree that his motion is weird, but in the games in the OP, he does have an arm. He makes plenty of mid range and a few deep passes accurately. Give home credit for the dropped passes and he looks even better.

I'm not a QB evaluating guru, but I don't think he's the POS that many seem to think he is.
