Madden '17
Anyone getting a little excited? Seems like they have really made an effort this year.

Franchise mode is getting an overhaul according to recent news:

1. Full player editing while your franchise is progressing.



2. Coaching/FO decisions.



3. In-game ticker with live updates.



4. Practice squads.



5. New commentary team that will actually talk about things happening in your franchise.

6. Draft has been tweaked with more busts/gems.

Gameplay improvements:

1. Zone Coverage overhaul.



2. New ball-carrier special moves.

3. Real gap control on defense.

4. Real ball physics. In the past the ball would tether to a player based on ratings.

They also overhauled kicking to make it a challenge now. There's a new three-click system and weather/location will play a factor. Also, apparently on clutch kicks if the opponent "freezes" the kicker by calling a timeout the kicking meter will disappear and you have to make the kick by muscle memory. Kicks and punts can also be blocked.

How badly all of this shit is ****ed up on release remains to be seen but it does seem like they are making a big effort.

Oh CHRIST. So I played this game of cat and mouse with Poe in contract negotiations for 11 weeks. A few mil up on bonus, a few mil down on salary, vice versa, around and around we went.

I expected I could just do this until we reached a happy medium.

My god, I'm 5-6 in my Chiefs franchise. I've never been so frustrated with a video game and enjoying it at the same time.

The challenge on All Madden is un-****ing-real.

I have a -19 turnover differential. The run blocking slider is on 100 but last week Jamaal Charles started with like 7 carries for -2 yards before finishing with a decent 17 for 63.

I could destroy teams at will last year. No more.

5-9, and losers of 4 in a row after the Titans beat me in Arrowhead, 44-41.

After losing Berry and Maclin to injury, I benched Alex and started Logan Thomas, who actually threw for 371 yards and three TD. His HUGE arm was incredible after weeks of using 85 THP Alice.

Lost because I gave up an NFL record 297 rushing yards to DeMarco Murray, who ripped off a 60-yard run when the Titans were trying to run out the clock and go to the overtime. FG at the gun.

This is why I don't play on All Madden. I'd rather play on All Pro and adjust the sliders so that it becomes harder. It seems that once you move to All Madden.....the AI takes it upon itself to completely **** you over every chance it gets.

I won 4 out of 5 Super Bowls on All Madden last year. I'm sure it'd be no different this year.
