I'm not giving Watkins any $ that prevents Hill from getting his money in a few years so if its $14MM or even close to that then the answer is no thanks.

$8MM per year avg maybe.

I hate those big salaries but you live in cave if you think Watkins will just get $8M per year average.

I wish Watkins could have been our Emmanuel Sanders or Casey Hayward that we both tried to sign a few years ago, who were signed to reasonable deals and went on to become stars. But is is obvious that he will be expensive.

I think to the Chiefs, he could be.

With his speed and playmaking ability across from Hill, with Kelce commanding attention in the middle and Hill demanding defenses respect the run, he could most definitely be worth the money with a guy like Mahomes extending plays and slinging the ball all over the field.

Even better if the Chiefs found another fast athletic receiving TE for Reids two TE sets.

With other teams, it would be less likely, I agree.

I've said before I preferred Allen Robinson but Andy is going with speed over size. He has a plan and I believe in Andy.

The price seems high but it's supply and demand here. There were only 2 guys at that position and we got one.
