****The 2018 NFL Draft Thread**** (No Spoilers)

Let's ****ing do this.

Last year was a one-of-a-kind, so let's hope the luck carries over to this year, with Brett Veach at the helm for the first time.

Rules:
1. No spoiled picks in this thread, all weekend. This means that as tweets are leaking picks a few minutes before the selection is announced live, you don't post it in this thread (ex: embedded tweets), reference it in this thread (ex: Joe Slapdick says it's McCaffrey to Tampa) or hint at it (ex: "it's a RB!").

Don't be a dick.

Otherwise, have fun, talk shit, freak out and lose your goddamned minds. It's Draft Weekend. The hot takes in these threads are so funny.

I'll also be starting threads for each of our picks as they are made, with videos and notable stats/takes in the OP. Pure knee jerk gold to reference in the future.

*Note: For 2017 hilariousness, view that thread here.

No, it’s not just an opinion. It’s calling Professionals that actually do this shit for a living an idiot because they didn’t pick the CB you wanted, or whatever.

I am not on any high horse. I am simply pointing out how a couple of people are sounding because they didn’t get what they think we should.

If these guys are busts in a few years then great, have at it. Until then, quit acting like the world just came to an end before you even see these guys actually play

Homering it up?

I didn’t say I love this draft, or that it’s a great draft.

I do however think our front 7 will be significantly improved, and if we get a starting DB in round 4, it’s a solid haul.

So far there hasn’t been a whole lot wrong with this draft. Did we get the CB everyone wanted? No. Did we improve our front 7? Yes. Did we need to improve our front 7 more than get a CB? Yes, in my opinion.

Seth Keysor? A twitter source? **** man. The dude is a pastor/minister and football is his hobby. I respect the time and work he puts into film breakdown but he is not a scout. He is a sunshine pumpng Chiefs fan who makes a bit of $ on the side writing articles for AP.

Read his free agency preview/wish list article for he Chiefs. That tells me all I need to know.

My only issue with this draft is trading up for Speaks. I doubt anyone would have snagged him before 54. Nnadi had a lot of 2nd round grades and tape doesn’t lie. O’Daniel can play - you just have to figure out how to best use him - but I love his demeanor and energy.

I know he’s a sunshine pumper that’s why his negativity is alarming

Man I hope I’m wrong but Veach is too young for me to just trust the process. Remembering too many drafts where picks looked shitty and then they turned out to be shitty.

I hope I’m wrong but I guess the point is I have no reason to doubt what my eyes see yet. If Veach proves me wrong next year I will have faith. Until then it looks like we just drafted a bunch of backups
