QB Class Starting to Look Like S&@* - Page 15

Anyone else disappointed with the way this QB class is starting to pan out after looking very promising?

Newton has gone Hollywood
Gabbert is scared to throw at the combine
Locker went to hell as a Senior
Mallett being the 2nd coming of Ryan Leaf

Ponder is starting to look like the prize QB in this draft to me at this point.

Riiggghhtt, because we all knew Clausen would slip to round 2 last year.

Right now Mallet and Gabbert will go ahead of Newton basd on what I've seen.

as Miami proved

you don't take Jake Long over Matt Ryan

if you're bad enough to have the #1 pick and have nothing on your roster at that position (sorry, Clausen looked like dog shit last year)...you have to spend that money on a QB...the league is a QB league.

I'd tell Newton he'd go 1st but he'd have a clause in his contract protecting the team from "purple drank syndrome"...if he doesn't want that clause then fine...Gabbert it is.

I'm not sure how that doesn't make sense. They have the toughest schedule next year, they will still have a terrible team with a new headcoach bringing in a new system.

I'd pass on both QB's and draft other positions to build the talent around Luck. They've got a damn good chance at being the worst team in the league, again.

if that's the case then they should take A.J. Green or Julio Jones so Luck can have a nice young target to grow with

I just don't feel good about taking that guy that high and giving him the keys to my franchise if I'm a GM.
