Best BBQ Sauce in KC
Who has the best bbq sauce? Gates got beat 4-1 against Bryant's on the travel channel today.



What's your fav KC sauce? Today is a slow day here. I got my clip....I got my gun lets go find the haters.


I like Gates myself, but I have not tried any other sauce lol.

We used to have bierock day at school lunch man. I hear you.. I didn't really like cabbage, but I ate it anyway as it was still very tasty. Not sure if that was a Kansas thing or what... I grew up in north central KS myself... Jewell ****ing County.

Just noticed my local Walmart has both Gates and Arthur Bryant's. There's also a local Q place that sells Blues Hog according to one of the links posted in this thread. I can also get Big Daddy's, which is from a closed down local legend Q joint. Big Daddy used to make some sauces that were so hot they'd put you in the hospital. They came in little lip balm sized jars.

After trying Firebug and Blues Hog, my favorite BBQ sauce still stands. Here's the order

1. Gates Orginial

2. Firebug

3. Blues Hog


I'm still waiting to try Oklahoma Joe's Night of the Living, Mr. Doggity's and LC's Original.

Thanks fellas, I'll be ordering a few more different types. This stuff we have in Cali is not as good and we don't do BBQ like KC does. I'm trying to branch out from Sweet Baby Rays and Bullseye. Night of Living will probably be my next order.
