I've been wondering why we Mizzou fans don't have one of these.

You guys would win more road games if Stephen Moore would rock the goggles.

The difference for me is that I expect Safford to be garbage, English is such a bigger dissapointment.

I feel for Safford a little. It's pretty obvious his knee isn't 100 percent, and that is affecting him... but he's still the most maddening player I've ever watched at Mizzou. Definitely won't miss him.

And English... apparently spent his entire summer working on 1x1 moves, which would be great if he had the quickness or handles to be a 1x1 player or played in an offense that catered to that. But playing in a motion offense? All it does it make him and the team worse. We'll see if he can have a bounce-back season as a senior, but I doubt it.

What's frustrating is that some aspects of his game - rebounding and passing - have flashed big improvements at times.

If he doesn't get his act together, he'll see his PT go to Matt Pressey, Kreklow and even Otto Porter (who is a lock to Mizzou as long as Anderson is the coach).

Green and Porter will add some length and explosion, which is something that has been sorely lacking. Green will be almost two years removed from his Achilles' rupture and should be at full strength, with a year in the program. Before the injury, he was a long, springy, rebound-minded forward. That could help just a little...

Porter could be the real key. He'd add the flex at the forward spot Mitchell was expected to.

Other thing I want to see, is how Phil Presse/Matt Pressey/Ratliffe do in Year 2. Most players have made big jumps under Anderson in Year 2. If that trend continues (and Porter makes it to campus), I think next year's team will be closer to what was expected this season.

Does anyone believe that we could miss the tourney if TT bounced us in the first round? I say no but it wouldn't shock me either.

Also, if Arkansas comes calling...I think MA leaves. If he does, who would some of you want or think would replace him?

No. Missouri is in.

The bubble is extremely soft this season. Missouri is a lock, even with a loss to Tech in the Big 12 tournament. Look at some of the teams that are being talked about on the bubble. Missouri's resume is much better than any of them, even with a loss to Texas Tech. They would likely drop to a 10 line with the loss, though...

As for Arkie/Anderson. I don't think he'll go (too much bad blood from the Nolan fallout, he'd have to leave his best friend's two kids behind, Missouri is working on an extension for him, his wife doesn't want to return to the SEC, and he doesn't like the conference's traditionally dirty laundry).

But if he did... one of my top targets would be Greg Marshall at WSU. He runs a motion offense and plays a lot of full court, trapping defense. He's also built winners wherever he's coached.

For the record, he's already stated that he's not interested in the Arkansas position, should it open up. I don't know how much that really means these days, but I tend to put a little more trust in Anderson's word than other coaches.

Now if only we could put trust in his ability to design an offense.

Or build a gameplan around match-ups with the other team {Same BS motion offense every game - few, if any tweaks; same half court defense regardless of the offensive strenghs of the other team}

Or pull / bench players not named "English" from the game when they do something stupid or give inconsistent effort {It's a sin the way Ratliffe has been allowed to pout or flat out "dog it" when he doesn't get a call / or isn't getting "his" on the offensive end}

Or play Flip, Dixon and Denmon at the same time

Or work the officials when you're CLEARLY not getting calls

Or show any emotion to get your team fired up

Or recruit
