He could get damn near $200,000,000 ... 6.5 bWAR? I have a feeling he won't be in STL next year.

Given the depth they have had in recent years, hell yes they do.

Problem is the pitchers don't like it because they lose out on 20% fewer starts etc....and it effects their totals.

That's just kind of what you get when you've got a young staff like we did, ie 2 guys basically in their first year throwing a full schedule.

Lynn cannot hold up for an entire season, everyone knows this. I wouldn't mind packaging Lynn in a trade.

Thing is, Lynne is an ideal 2/3 pitche. He will eat innings and you pretty much know what you're getting.

The staff needs Wacha and Martinez to be aces.

If they aren't going to sign heyward, I'd look at the pitching market

New tv deal in the near future gives a decent amount of funny money unless the owners just want to pocket the excess.

I love sabermetrics, but there are things they cannot account for, like Lynn and Garcia being ****ing cowards who will always fold when we need them most.

They're human beings, not baseball robots plugged into an Excel sheet.
