I would think that with the billions of potential ghosts out there (one for each person who ever lived on this planet), a documented and confirmed sighting for ONE ghost isn't a lot to ask for.

Its called tv and the internet, look around, theres literally TONS of evidence, even those clowns on Ghost Hunters come up with all kinds of great evidence... photographs of shadow figures and orbs, electronic communications, furniture, toys, bricks etc all moving by themselves, some literally thrown across rooms, huge swings in magnetic fields, on and on it goes.

I'm betting nothing could be put in front of you that you'd believe anyway, no matter how good it was, and thats fine by me, but you cannot say the evidence isnt there.

Do you know of any evidence that has been accepted by a large consensus of people as actual evidence of proof? One video or pic that you can point to and say "See, there's no way you can explain that away."

That shouldn't be incredibly difficult considering the number of people who've claimed to see absolute proof that made them convinced.

Why do you think we lack evidence such as that?

The thing with most paranormal investigators is they’re not presenting pictures, videos, audio and saying, “This is proof of ghosts”. They present the evidence and say, “We caught this and have no natural explanation for what it is.” Which is as it should be, IMO.

To name just one single instance, theres an episode of Ghost Hunters where a brick gets thrown across a room, the camera catches it lifting off of the floor and being hurled across the room.

Bricks dont normally throw themselves.

If you want to say they put it on, thats one thing, although i dont believe they fake stuff.

And again, there IS evidence on tape that cannot be explained away... rocks and bricks being thrown, doors in areas with absolutely no wind that not only open by themselves only to close again and latch themselves seconds later.

Its out there for those who want to look, but you're like Brainiac, nothing short of a personal experience is going to rattle your conviction that science has explained everything that will ever need explaining, and that anything outside of - current - important word here, science is just peoples imaginations and superstitions getting the best of them.

You're pretty famous for debunking any and everything quasi-mystical, so i'm not beating my head against the wall debating this with you, my intent isnt to sway anyone, but to simply make the point that science does not have all of the answers to our human experience.

I think that was actually Ghost Adventures. I know the show you’re talking about and at one time the video was on YouTube but copywrite suits have chased most of that stuff off there.

You're right, i always get them confused.

Probably my favorite moment from Ghost Hunters is when they stay in the Stanley Hotel, the fat guy is sleeping in the really famous room with a camera on, first his closet door opens then closes by itself, then the glass of water on the nightstand shatters for no reason at all, waking him up.

I believe that was Ghost Adventures. But regardless, they've been caught faking things on numerous occasions. If you search, you'll find ample evidence showing those guys to be full of crap, and creating their own unexplained events. And if they've faked it once, it's hard to trust anything.

I'm not trying to be a dick about it. I'm just saying that most of the evidence is highly debatable. Why is that? Is it just implausible coincidence that we have no evidence that isn't easily debatable or explainable? Science certainly doesn't have all the answers. But you don't even need to apply science to note that these supernatural claims always happen in situations and locations that involve darkness and fear combined with the human brain's inexplicable ability to see faces and human shapes where there are none.

Proving the supernatural would bring world renowned fame and fortune. And thousands try to achieve it every day. Yet all we have to show for it are grainy videos and pictures in the dark, and scary stories told by others. The odds of things like this existing, but just coincidentally not caught on tape with sufficient proof, is simply too high to be taken seriously.
