This looks awful. Like a 1 star film.

The reason why the original Ghostbusters was so great was due to the chemistry between the actors. The story was dopey and silly. But Ackroyd and Murray had great chemistry, Rick Moranis was hilarious, Annie Potts cute and Harold Ramis is always awesome as the straight man.

But this trailer misses big time.

Also, I think it's sad that Leslie Jones has been type cast as the "angry black woman" who's always screaming, whether it's in this trailer or SNL or anything else in which she appears. I'm sure she's grateful for the work and paycheck but talk about stereotyping.

Yeah... about that... I don't like what female comedy writing has become nowadays. I never really laugh at it... at all. It almost comes off as Tyler Perryish, how once you figure out a formula that works, you milk the hell out of it. They aren't there yet, but it's almost bordering Adam Sandler.

I was wondering about that. I have never seen her do anything other than SNL (and now this trailer) and nothing I have seen her do was remotely funny. At all. Now, admittedly, I don't watch much of SNL at all so I haven't seen much of her at all. But I looked her up on Wikipedia just now to see why she is even in comedy. Looks like the one thing they did that was true to the original; three people playing actual characters and then a token black person. I did smile a couple of times while I watched the trailer. Once for the scene with that "is it the hat or the wig?" comment which was kind of cutesy, and once towards the beginning when Wiig mentions getting slime "in every crack" because I like Wiig. And that was it. Other than that I did not even crack a smile.
