Yeah, I don't understand the Draymond Green hype.

He doesn't score offensively and has trouble with good post up players. He's usually outmatched.

* First Team All-American
* Big Ten Player of the Year
* First Team All-Big Ten
* 2x Third Team All-Big Ten
* 2x NBA Champion
* Olympic Gold Medalist
* 2x NBA All Star
* Second Team All-NBA
* Third Team All-NBA
* 2x NBA All-Defensive First Team

He is about to add a Defensive Player of the Year award and another All-Defensive First Team.

Draymond is getting very close to being a lock to be a Hall of Famer. You can try to downplay his 9 points and 7 rebounds a game all you want. When all is said and done, when that list that I just wrote out doubles in size, you will see Draymond in the Hall. Its not nearly as hard to believe as you are making it sound.
That's not really a hall of fame resume. Not even close.

Draymond needs more (way more) to be I. The hall. Not every good player for their gen goes to hall. He has to be a general too although talent, he's the fourth option and I'm sure they'll prob take iggy over him if the game was on the line. He's a good solid player that's it.

It is because he plays on a great team more than anything. Put him on a team that sucked no one would really talk about him.

It's kind of like saying Shawn Marion was a Hall of Famer.

It's possible, but borderline chances for him, IMO.

And Draymond has a ways to go before he can be considered in Marion's class.

And Marion once shut down LeBron in the Finals.

Not even on Marion's level. Plus, Green turns the ball over a lot which is unusual since hes not an offensive player

The NBA HoF has some surprisingly borderline inductees.

I mean look at it this way - people are calling Chris Bosh a slam dunk, first ballot, no question HoFer and when you look at the rest of the inductees, it's hard to argue otherwise.

But man, did you ever watch Bosh and think "that's a Hall of Fame player right there..."

I damn sure didn't. Paul Pierce will fall in that lot as well. Pau Gasol, Manu, Vince Carter; guys like Dwight Howard and Blake Griffin even get some HoF discussion.

The NBA HoF is a strange, strange animal to me. There are a lot of pretty good players that seem to make it and I guess it's because there are just so few players that actually play given the 12 man rosters.

Blake need more moments to even be thought of hall worthy. Pay will get in mainly due to championships and international play; for he longest time he was considered the most skilled big man

I know that the NBA HOF is pretty loose with it's inductees but unless Draymond becomes something more than a Scrappy utility man, there's no way he should make it in.

And all the guys you listen are a ton better than Draymond.

Did you ever think of Pau as a superstar? Even as a Lakers fan, I thought of him as a very good, underappreciated player. But HoF? Nah, never got there.

Joe Johnson is going to get genuine HoF consideration in a decade or so. And if he gets in, he'd be better than some guys that are already there. Dennis Johnson, Wes Unseld, Mitch Ritchmond, Chris Mullen, Jamaal Wilkes. The league occasionally gets a little too trigger happy on inducting guys.

I'm not saying Draymond will get in, but it's not that farfetched. If he wins 2-3 more rings and puts up, say, 12, 7 and 6 averages over those seasons, you'll hear plenty of people talk about putting him in the Hall.

Meanwhile in baseball, one of the 10 best centerfielders of all time couldn't even survive his first year on the ballot (#bitterEdmondsfan)

I don't get it.

You can build a team around Pau's skill. You can't build a team around Draymond. He's a glue guy than can fill gaps and he'll do a very good job at it. But other than defense, there isn't a single thing he's better than Pau at.

I don't disagree. Pau certainly has a better case, IMO.

Though 'other than defense' is a bit disingenuous when defensive versatility is Green's biggest strength and something that NBA teams are just now realizing the value of.

But no, I wouldn't consider Green a HoFer at all. But some will, especially if the Wizards win a couple more and Green continues to be a lock-down defender and do everything sort of offensive player (just goes out there and puts up solid numbers everwhere).
