Off Season Lets Talk Guns
Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.
Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon? Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware? Part 2: http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showthread.php?t=293623 Last edited by Bearcat; 07-28-2015 at 06:06 PM.. |

The 96fs is the .40 cal version of it. The Taurus PT100 is the Taurus version (which I actually like more than the Beretta version because it has the frame-mounted safety instead of the slide mounted). If anyone's ever looking to sell a PT100, send 'em my way.

This looks like an interesting bargain, though I don't know much about the 7.62x25mm round. |

The 7.62x25 Tokarev round is a great round that used to be very inexpensive. It really is the caliber that people wish the 5.7mm was.
The Soviets used the Tokarev round in their submachine guns in WWII. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FTg-TgEpUm0 $20 per 70 round box. But, the round is getting a little bit hard to find from what I hear. |

I may go to Cabela's this weekend to take a look a various 1911s.
I'm thinking I might end up going with the Taurus, and maybe another pistol for the same $ as I would spend on the Springfield Loaded, or Kimber Custom II. anyone know of a good unstaffed range within about an hour-ish from KCMO? I was going to do the Parma woods deal, but I've heard from a least 5 people that it's not worth it; too strict with firing frequency and ammo etc.

can you shoot handguns there? odd - there was a statement about a special use permit for handguns only. Hmm.
sort of conflicting info. I might check it out this weekend. I so tired of indoor ranges.

There's no supervision at all. I've shot everything from shotguns, to handguns to assault rifles there.

Here's a decent deal on PMC Bronze .223:
http://www.slickguns.com/product/pmc...-free-shipping Combine that with a couple other things and you can get a good deal. If you live near a Cabelas, you can avoid shipping charges by picking it up at a store. Also, if you go to this link now - http://www.cabelas.com/?avad=48247_b...12&WT.tsrc=AFF - and click on the "get a $20 rebate" link, you can get that extra $$ off. I went through the checkout process to calculate CPR and I came up with 600 rounds for $198.03, or just over $0.33 per round. |
