• 65 post season wins since 2004. 22+ wins more than any other team.

Instead of Kozma and Cruz batting instead of Garcia bite us in the ass tonight. Maybe Garcia doesn't get a hit but I bet everyone on this forum thinks he has a better chance than those two.

Playing with a 4 man bench, 2 of whom are unplayable, will take a fair amount out of the starters.

Not getting Garcia some starts at 3b when he was swinging a hot bat and Carpenter was dying on the field is just inexcusable. Likewise with waiting as long to bring up Pham and Scruggs.

Or Kozma and Cruz on the roster. Or playing Jay when he was healthy. People laugh when we bitch about the manager but he doesn't get the easy things right. Like many have said, Captain Concussion has benefited from an otherworldly pitching staff and some great personnel moves like signing Peralta.

Because Piscotty is growing now. And Scruggs is nobody's long-term answer.

If you can get Piscotty up here learning at this level right this very minute and he can give you even 90% of what Scruggs can, you're actually grooming a long-term asset at the major league level. And by the end of the year, I believe the fact that Piscotty has shown an advanced command of the strike zone even going back to his days at Stanford will mean that he's giving us quality ABs pretty much every time out there.

There is no evidence that Piscotty is going to be better than Scruggs this year, and given that the corner OF has one impending FA, a guy with two years left max (in Holliday) and nothing else on the farm in way of replacements, moving Piscotty from an area where his bat might profile as a plus to where it would be mediocre compounded with the fact that he likely wouldn't be a marked improvement over anyone here, and it's a classic case of making a change just to make a change that will not add value either today or tomorrow.

The Cardinals have to make a move to get Johnson on the 40 man. That means that the Kozma error might finally be over.

And the truth starts to come out. What "condition" does Carpenter have? He is looking really thin. They should just come out and tell us. If its something serious, if he has some kind of mental issue we should know. The fans love Carp. It will be okay no matter what. People will just love the guy more.

I was led to be believe a specific cause for Carpenter's condition that was never enunciated by the club; hence, I'm reluctant to spill the beans here. But his subsequent performance both at the plate and in the field suggests something is going on.

Sounds like Samardzija and LaRoche would be on the trading block.

LaRoche would help the Cardinals (and I think he'd play better if returned back to 1B rather than watching Jose Abreu stone hands his way through the job 5 days a week).

If we could get LaRoche for a mid-level prospect (a Jacob Wilson or maybe a Tim Cooney/Tyler Lyons since we'd have him for another year), I'd be okay with that. LaRoche is a perennially underrated ballplayer.

He's got two more years on that deal after this one, though. Imagine the Sox might be looking for a little more than those guys.
