Pioli and Haley thought this team would be competitive. They thought we had a shot at winning eight games.

Everyone wants to talk about how bad the roster is and how we have to cut them slack because they're digging out from Peterson and Herm's mess. This is no different from the last Chiefs team. Peterson and Herm thought that roster was capable of being competitive. They thought we could win six or seven with last year's roster.

Pioli and Haley thought we could win eight or more with what they've put out there.

Do they know what it takes to win football games? It takes players. Not signs or media policies or Pentagon-like security or secrets or cursing at the players. Players win football games.

22 guys off the street could win two games. We're halfway home and the Chiefs have one victory.

No, that's not possible. Cassel and Pioli have decided they're going to keep Bowe out of the pro-bowl this year because the Chiefs suck anyway and they can't be paying bonuses in a down decade.

I really think Haley will be a good coach. I think he's learning, and I've expected all of this. I hated this hire when it went down, but I do like some of the tactics he's taking.

I know I'm in the minority on this but I love the fact that he's cussing guys out. ****ing perform. And if you can't, get the **** out. When he has guys that will perform, he'll stop yelling and cussing.

Here's two:

The OL played marginally better, though they were up against a team that hadn't gotten to the QB before today.

Morgan played pretty well.

Don't forget about Succop playing like a monster, Haley needs to try him out on the offense.

you're wrong here buddy. Waters is as much a stand up man as anyone on the team. I have attended camp every year (except this last camp) and Waters impresses me every year with how he carries himself. He learned a lot about the game from Shields and doesnt deserve to be getting slammed by anyone.

wasnt it still tied till just before the 2 minute warning? We were lucky to be in it though, we were killed in almost every stat except blocked kicks and "fluke plays" that likely wouldnt happen again if we played them ten more times. IMHO anyway.

Yup. The Ravens went up 31-24 right before the 2-min warning. They scored a garbage TD in the final seconds.

They 'blew us out' in total yards. Who cares though, we still had a chance to win.

I dont call a blocked punt and an INT a 'fluke play'. I agree it was closer than it should have been. The Chiefs still made plays in that game. Something they havent done since. Something that troubles me in that game is Croyle looked better than Cassel has at any point this season.

my definition of a fluke play is a play that likely wouldnt be repeated multiple time if we were in the same situation a few more times.

I fully agree with the comparison of Croyle and Cassel. I didnt want him before he was traded for and I dont like him now. I wonder what restraints are put on him that is restricting his play though, last year in NE, BB instructed him to take sacks while continueing to look downfield and I think a similar restraint is being utilized with him now. I hope Haley lets him open it up at one point and make some mistakes he can learn from, I firmly believe you learn alot more with that approach than being restricted to try and make plays.

I wonder what Jason would be saying if it was Herm or one of his other faves that had 1 win, would it be the same kind of harangues every frickin time?

Or would he, atleast once in a while, try to break things down like the pro he always trumpets himself as?

You need a new market Jason, if this is all you're ever going to do.
