Somebody give this board mouth to mouth

It's dying in here. If it wasn't for a Clay and I this place would slowly burn.

Who's having a good day? The dinner thread needs my attention.

Steve Young threw 17 TD in 10 games at the age of 30.

Alex had 18 in 15.

At the age of 31? Steve Young led the #1 OFFENSE.

Don't even get me started on things like yards per completion.

You are a sad, obstinate little man... there isnt a single position on the team that has more input into a win or loss than QB, I'd like to see you argue against that.

So yeah, since thats an undeniable fact, then that means that just because his stats were very pedestrian against Seattle, doesnt mean he wasnt an integral part of that win.

Wanna know why?

Of course you do.

Because their defense is a comic book villain, its monstrous, and so the gameplan was to limit throws and most importantly... avoid the crucial, backbreaking turnover... and Smith did exactly what the doctor ordered that game.

But yeah, he should've just chucked it around to the tune of 350 and 3 td against that defense with THAT o-line and THOSE receivers

You are a parody of yourself at this point.

It's not my fault if you don't have aesthetics and vision.

The ass end of a 2015 Corvette is not harmonious with the overall design.

Alex Smith will have a very good season in 2015, leading the Chiefs to the playoffs for the second time in three years.

I'm correct about everything. It's a gift and a curse. Mostly a gift.

Better than bad does not equal good. He's just a purgatory QB who prevents us from accomplishing real goals, while simultaneously wasting more time off the careers of good players.

He is an extension of everything that has plagued this franchise in the last 20 years...and so yes, he is the worst thing ever to happen to the team. Because he is the same thing that has been happening to this team for two decades.

And that is the ****ing worst, my friend.
And this sums up the issues with Smith. While I may not hate him as much as this guy, I can absolutely see where he is coming from. I am definitely closer to Clay's side of this argument than the other side.

It seems everyone with your mindset thinks we should've grabbed Bridgewater, as if that one decent rookie year was enough to crown him... lets see him do better this year and then the next before we annoint the guy.

Everyone hates the "I defer to the coach" line but I'm using it anyway... my trust is in Andy Reid about the QB matter, he wanted Smith and had no interest in Teddy.

Thats enough for me.

Smith is nearing the end of his cycle... just like they used to tell us about Ft. Leonard Wood MO... if you hate the weather now, just wait an hour and it will change.

Part of the reason I'm not real vocal about Smith's limitations is I don't know the answer. I'm not a believer in drafting a qb just to draft a qb. That's how you end up with Geno Smith, or EJ Manual. I was not a fan of bringing AS in, but I don't have a clear answer, and I have never acted as though I did. Thanks for playing though.
