**FFToday Homer Draft** CP selecting for KC by Poll

Rules
1. You can trade, but only picks in this draft. Compensatory picks are not tradable. Players and future picks are not tradable. You should use this trade value chart to be sure your deal is close in value. If it's not, I'll either amend or veto it. Please prepare trades ahead of time instead of holding us up for hours during your pick.
2. If you will be gone for awhile and are almost up, please email me (or provide someone, somehow) a list of players for your pick.
3. Please don't start a ton of war room threads on the main site. That's what the contacts list is for. As much as you can, keep the discussion contained to the discussion thread and keep your picks posted here.
4. You should make a selection based on what you think the team will do, not necessarily what you think it should do.
5. Be patient, especially at the beginning as we get going.

I agree, but you never know, as those teams have other needs as well. Dallas, IMO, would be the biggest chance of the 3 teams past Arizona to select Rogers.

True, they all have needs but, they all also have shaky QB situations. Evidently the Washington GM doesn't feel that QB is as pressing a need as CB.

When will it be our turn?

Not that it matters. The only three people I've heard of have already been drafted.

It all depends on how quick the rest of the Homers get their picks in. We're only 3 picks away now.

Can someone post the top ten or so prospects still on the board now? Or will you be doing a poll?

So all the DEs cept Merriman is left on the board as well as CB Carlos Rogers and FS/OLB Thomas Davis. My draft board is headed by Rogers, Merriman and Davis if we pick with the 15th selection. It's hard to pick when our CB situation is unresolved so without a Law or Surtain we hve to pick Carlos Rogers if he's still there. We have no choice.

It really looks like Rodgers, QB from Cal, is going to be there at #15. If this is the case, I take Rodgers, and sign Law and get defense with the next few rounds of the draft.

Sorry guys, I had to leave for a few hours. I only have a few minutes. It looks like the draft is basically done for the night so we will pick it up in the morning.

Some of the top players still available:

CB Carlos Rogers, Auburn
QB Aaron Rodgers, Cal
DE Justin Tuck, Notre Dame
DE Marcus Spears, LSU
SS/OLB Thomas Davis, Georgia
WR Mark Clayton, OK
TE Heath Miller, Virginia
OT Jammal Brown, OK
CB Justin Miller, Clemson
DE Erasmus James, Wisconsin
DT Antajj Hawthorne, Wisconsin
LB Channing Crowder, Florida
LB Kevin Burnett, Tennessee
DE David Pollack, Georgia

I started a poll before Houston and Carolina made their picks. We will only have 2-3 hours max to make the selection once Houston and Carolina pick so if they take our player we will go to the next one on the list. We will probably have to make our selection no later than 10:00 a.m. tommorrow morning.

Yikes don't do it that way! If everyone wants Carlos Rogers for example, but he's gone, then we might get someone that only 2 or 3 people want.

Maybe let everyone vote for 3 choices in the poll? Still not perfect but better ...
