Yeah, but in years past, we actually did pressure the quarterback....

Please, please, please let the Chiefs find talented Dline players this offseason making Hicks and Browning obsolete.

Once again...........you do not need a hulking DE to play the run, that's a misconceptiion. I emplore you to go take a look at the Tampa Bay DE's like I have before, to prove this point.

If you wanna argue that he'll cost to much, that's probably likely. Atttitude. eh, I can deal with an attitude from a guy who's a top 5 DE when he's on.

Yep.

I want my DTs to stop the run, and my DE's to get to the QB. I think we have to give Sims another year as a starter. While Hicks might be solid, he's old and has no up side. There is not a DT who is a Free Agent who will be a huge updgrade. We are not going to be able to get a top DT in the draft, and heck our history drafting that position sucks ass. So where else can we improve on Defense? DE oppisite of Allen, and at FS.

Tampa runs the Cover 2. I doubt we're installing it.

We'll get killed if we have Allen and Abraham on the D-line.

Would you draft Tambi Hali, Mathias Kiwanuka or Elvis Dumervil? If so none of those guys are currently bigger than Abraham..........Kiwanuka will be in a few years but he's not now.

What we really need is a dominating DT to line up beside Sims.
What we need is for Sims to actually play. That f**ker gets a pulled labia or some other nonsense injury every other game.

I wouldn't draft any of them. I'd draft a DT, because Carl doesn't have the balls to make a dynamite trade for one (see Shanahan), and FA DTs rarely work out.

Are you saying if Kiwanuka is on the board at our pick, you wouldn't pick him?

No. We HAVE a weakside pass rusher. We need a pocket pushing defensive tackle.

Edit: I guess maybe I'd be in favor of drafting him. He probably wouldn't be an every-down defensive end, and he'd cost less than Abraham of course.

Kiwanuka is 6'7 he's going to be a guy who plays at 290-300lbs in a few years. This idea that "we can't take him because we have Allen" is ludicrious. If Kiwanuka is there when the Chiefs pick, that should be the pick hands down. The only DT's in this draft that fill the type of need the Chiefs have are Haloti Ngata, who won't be there when we pick. The other is Gabe Watson who has question marks all around him.

The fact that you'd pass on a player like Kiwanuka because you feel we must have this other position, is how you have bad drafts. I guess you don't want Julius Peppers either cause we already have our "speed rusher"

I'm glad you aren't a GM with logic like this.

OK I was wrong. But John Abraham isn't the answer. He'd demand every-down type money and would not be suited for the role.
