So Is DT Gonna Make the HOF?

Aside from being my favorite player of all time my wife got me an autographed Dt helemt for Christmas so I would really love to see him go.

I also have a picture of him tackling Elway for his 100th sack but he passed before I had a chance to get that signed.

The guys on the radio said he is head an shoulders above most of the people on the list.

Anyone?

This website is a nice website where according to the bio his last year was 1999? i thought it was 2000..maybe the 99/2000 season. anyways the link is
http://www.profootballhof.com/hof/st...?story_id=2285

My take on it is he should make it in this year. I think Michael Irvin should be in there too. I like Bruce Matthews too just because he was consistant for so long and was an iron man in my opinion.

The 99 season was over, he was headed to the airport to fly to St Louis to go to a Lambs playoff game when he crashed.
I don't want to see Irving make it. First of all he annoys the hell out of me on TV, which really doesn't matter. Secondly, how many times was he popped for coke?

Yep. IIRC, he played one game in the (calendar) year 2000. So technically, he played for the Chiefs in 3 different decades.

All of these HOFs can fug off. Like football not including DT-what a travesty-if he played for an East Coast team he would have been 1st ballot.

Big Mac getting excluded but Bonds will get in.

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

Last year, I remember a lot of talk that HOF voters wanted Harry Carson to get in before they voted for DT. Now that he's in, hopefully Derrick will get the votes.

My gut says he gets passed over again since Carl will again send Gretz to argue the case.

Having Bob Gretz make his case to the voters really doesn't help. We should have Lanier, Posnanski, or even Herm or Carl doing that.
