If you were Al Davis.....

Wouldn't you try to hire Marty at all costs?!? I mean Marty had wtfpwnd the Raiders for ever. I'm glad Al isn't playing with a full deck.

You still underestimate Marty's dislike for Al Davis and his controlling nature.

Besides right now the Raiders are nothing at all like a Marty team.

Why does Marty dislike Al Davis? I can understand Shanahan hating him, after Weird Al fired him and all, but I don't see why Marty would have anything personal against AD.

First article googling Marty hates Raiders, 4-5 paragraphs into it...

"Marty hates the Raiders. I don't know why," safety Terrence Kiel said. "He told us that last night. It's something personal."

There were a few stories from Chiefs players when he coached here that said he has a good ol fashioned hatred for Davis and the organization as a whole... I'll see if I can dig em up.

I was always under the impression Marty interviewed for a job with him, and Al pretty much laughed him out of Oakland (or LA) back in the day.

I have no idea if that is true or not, just seems like I heard that from Gretz or some other Chiefs talking head.

alot of people seem to hate AD. Isn't Marcus Allen's dislike of the way AD treated him the reason he retired as a Chief, went to the HOF as a Chief?

I think I remember him saying that when he signed, that if he stayed with us for a year or more, whatever it was, he wouldn't retire as a Raider.

Marcus went into the Hall as both a Raider and a Chief.

Here's a mural he had on display the weekend of his induction. Just looks like blasphemy, if you ask me....

I guess he can't help going into the HOF as both, his career was in both, but he always wears his chiefs jersey at the probowl oldtimers flag football game.

I grew up in Colorado and my buddy and I cheered for the Raiders just to piss off our old men. When Allen came to KC I had just moved to MO and started to watch the Chiefs because of Allen.

I don't know if I should thank him or curse him for it.... At least the Raiders went to the SB in the last decade.

BTW I think the Cowboys or Steelers jobs would have been perfect for Marty.

Snyder spends tons of money on free agents trying to win a championship, but he doesn't interfere with the guys coaching his team.
