I have been able to get out of two pull-overs. And not the way you are thinking. Wow...funny stories. I rarely play the "female card" but I did those nights. Acting stupid got me out of the first one, the second was my hairspray.

I remember it started back in High School and I totalled out my 74 Ranchero and a Sherriff came to the scene. Took one look at my busted up bleeding ass and told my mom that he thinks I've been through enough and didn't cite me for DUI. 1st miss.

Just out of High School and a woman Sherriff pulls me over and me and a friend are out in my car drinking beer and doing donuts on back gravel roads in the county. She pulls me out of the car and has me do the sobriety test. It's 32 degrees out and I got shorts on. So I'm shivering. She tells me that she can't get a good read on me and since I have been polite and cooperative she is going to let me go if I promise to go straight home. 2nd miss.

3 years later I am driving home pretty drunk from a titty bar in town and a sherriff pulls me over says I'm driving erratic. (for the record, I WAS).
He pulls out the field tester and I blow a yellow. Tells me that it doesn't mean that he can't take me in. I begin my polite routine and he lets me go. 3rd miss.

I have since quit drinking and have no desire to start again. I figure I had my 3 and out. I have used up all my chips and next time it would probably be time to pay the house.

Don't need that.

For the record. On the second stop I did NOT go straight home. I went straight to the bar and drank there for 3 hours and then went home. Really fuggin stupid on my part.

Out here in CA they don't mess around. Plus, in the Midwest you could get an attorney to work the charges down in exchange for fines and diversion.

They don't do that here in CA.

I remember the last Wed. of the month at the OP Court house used to be parking ticket night. If you had a speeding ticket you would go pay the judge double the fine to reduce it to a parking ticket. That way the city got the cash instead of the insurance companies.

Be careful my friend. None of my friends changed their behavior until the Police did finally haul them in.

When the cop pulled up to your window you should have started laughing your azz off and then said, "Dude, it's St. Patrick's Day tomorrow, not Halloween!"

That usually goes over well with a uniformed officer.
