Fantasy Football Cheating..

So, I have a Sportsline Fantasy Football League, and this morning I noticed our commish decided to pick up a certain WR that was denoted as "HOT" off the ADD / DROP before anyone else was allowed to even try to ADD him.

He claims it just let him do it and he didn't have to use any special commissioner's / admin privileges to add him. I"m calling BS. Can anyone that has Sportsline confirm that it would flag or alert you that you have to over ride the normal ADD in order to do this?

Additionally, what do people think a fair punishment should be? It's a 12 team league, so week 1 pickups can be huge, and I'd say he's probably looking at one of the top 3 teams- which means he could be looking at a nice $$$$ payout should he win or place in the top 3.

yeah, he just wanted a backup WR. Like I said, not a huge pick up really- b/c his team is already pretty damn good, but it's the spirit of fairness and 1 guy in our league just moved to London and has HORRIBLE WR's and wanted to pick up a WR and the cupboard is pretty bare.

And I can't believe someone is so caught up in it that they have to cheat- let alone for such a marginal player.

If he uses his commish abilities it shows in that he has done it..

If not he just picked the guy up before everyone else because that player would be a FA and not a WA guy..

If he fails to do either of the above I would be gone. No fun playing with cheaters.

Is this a money league? I'm assuming it is since cbssportsline is not free.
It depends if the players are all FA or not?? Players that are dropped go by the waiver wire rule for generally a few days then become free agents..

Seems to me, he just had bad luck in selecting the player or lag had something do with it.. Probably they were both selecting the player at the same time and the other guy got it sent in first on the reasoning why it would not allow him to do it..

Because if he used his Commish powers it would say it on the transaction list..

Dude,

try 1 response and put it all in one.

First, the server time is noted EST, for everyone no matter where you are by default.

2nd, It's noted he picked the guy up 3 minutes before the ADD / DROP was allowed

3rd, It's noted that his ADD / DROP is in Red text, meaning he used his Admin privileges to pick the player up before you're allowed to under the league rules.

4th- It's this guys fault b/c he f'ing cheated, and you have wasted more time responding to this thread- then even I. Which I'm dumb enough now to be doing so...

It's pretty obvious he cheated- you can look at the damn transaction report and see:

http://img338.imageshack.us/my.php?image=cheatyy5.jpg

See - he picks Clayton up in RED, before 9am, which is the earliest you can, and when he drops him, Clayton is in Black.

Uhh

1st.. I was following chronological order of thread and responding on the way down and responding to different posts.. Who in their right mind would go back and manually code all of that into one post??? Seems to me you are crying some more..

2nd.. Server lag can effect times posted..

3rd.. For all we know the red just means you clicked on the link..

4th.. Its the ****ing internet, you come on here crying like a little bitch about being maybe cheated on in fantasy football and then cannot prove 100% that it was cheating.. But lets not look at the fact that you started a post about it and then cry when people post responses..

But lets just leave it as fact, that you drafted a shitty ass team and then blame the commish who viciously gave you a shitty draft spot supposedly instead of you just being dumb..

If the dumbass was going to cheat he should've picked up Royal and then tried to trade him

I'm not whining, I got Royal.

The red isn't a link, it's just the color of the text.

He didn't pick up Royal I guess b/c he already has Cutler and Marshall. I agree, pick him up and let him go on the block, but I'm thinking he just wanted to pick up a possibly decent 3rd WR as an alternative and not put his eggs all in one basket having 1/2 his team being .

How do you get server lag so it shows earlier than later?

This is really longer than need go on, I'm good with the situation. It was more just entertaining to catch the guy, and I was curious what other's viewpoint was on it. No one in our league seems to give 2 shits, so all is well.
