Can't be mad at Thiggy.....

Yes, he had a less than stellar game. But everything he did wrong is coachable and really, to be expected from the likes of Thiggy. He is making the right reads, he is just inconsistent with his footwork on his delivery. He throws off his back foot a lot, which is the sign that he doesn't think he has as much time as he has. With our line who can blame him? Also, the game is moving at the fastest he has ever seen it and he is taking it stride.

One of his picks was not his fault. It was actually a great pass, just a better defensive play. The other was again, the right read but the wrong type of pass. Again, coachable. All in all, I thought despite his two picks he played well enough to maybe win, had our defense showed up.

He continues to make multiple big plays every game to Bradley\Bowe\Gonzo. Our offense is moving and the running game was good today as well.

Thiggy played strong today. The kid could of folded at the end of the first half and he came out slinging and ready to play.

This is what developing a QB looks like. Everyone wanted us to develop a QB, well....now we are. And I like it!

KCJohnny, they yanked him with like 4 or 5 minutes left in the game. It wasnt because of his performance.

I think they are just trying to see if they have anything in Gray. The game was way out of reach, it was probably just them trying to keep Thigpen healthy.

Thanks, pal. I was concerned about QBbC or an injury. Its great to hear that Gray marched them right down the field and scored even if it was against a prevent D in garbage time.

I know we were in catch up mode, but 31 points and 475 yards of total offense is still pretty good. That sounds like the 2004 Chiefs. It would be a scathing indictment on the braintrust at One Arrowhead Drive if we have been sitting on a nuclear powered offense all year and didn't know it. I'm not saying we are on the way to being the 2004 Chiefs, but 31 should be good enough to win. Our offensive output has been going up, up, up.

I am not going to comment on the _efense since this is a Thiggy thread. I think two mobile, athletic QBs running a spread Offense is a good harbinger for the future of the Chiefs potential scoring output, at least for 2009.

I think the reason his accuracy is off is because he's trying to make a ton of throws while he's on the run. 3 td's, 2 picks, 1 fumble lost. The kid plays hard and he's going to make mistakes, but when you score 31 points you should win the ball game.

Bottom line is, Thiggy's bad game was still good enough for us to win had we anything that looked like a defense. Yes he made some mistakes and he is going too. That is part of developing a QB.

I don't give a **** if you drafted a guy #1 at QB, he would have these kinds of games. Even pros have these kinds of games.

People need to get behind Thigpen and support him. The kid can play.

Thiggy continues to improve and look like an NFL QB. Seems like his overthows etc where trying to "make it happen". No complaints on his play or heart. The go for it run, fumble reach was unfortunate....
