HELP! I need a new internet provider.

I tired of my current internet providers customer service and they must be replaced.

Do you like/hate yours? Who are they? What bundles do they offer?

P.S. I also need cable/satellite service.

you guys with Cox and Comcast have it made, I have Sunflower Broadband. There is no other option. I would never get DSL. So, I'm stuck with this POS company.

It should be noted that because my business has AT&T lines installed (2 T1's), I have to deal with their customer service on a more regular basis than most residential.

I have a single T1 service @ work and they're great. I loved the initial setup with the Cisco Router they sent out.

They monitor the connection 24/7 and call me the instant they notice a break in activity and provide service tickets for everything.

Holy shit. Where in KS are you located?

If one of our T1's goes down, I'm lucky if I get them to admit there is even a problem on the line.

Just got 8Mb cable internet for $19.95 a mo for 12mo. Sure beats my overpriced/underspeed DSL.

Sounds gimmicky, but we found it at www.cabledealfinder.com

Mediacom must be desperate. We don't even have cable. To get internet only they usually have a high price, but finally they're aiming their incentives my way, at least for a year.

Yeah, I've heard people complain about Time Warner in KC, but I never had any problems with them and they're great compared to Cox in Omaha. I was already paying $20 more a month for basic cable (without Versus for hockey or ESPN Classic, and I got both with TWC) and the internet (same download/upload speed, but even after setting up about 20 spam filters I still got a few a day after getting ZERO with TWC over two years), and then they bumped it up $8 more so I canceled both. Plus I got more spam mail than I ever got from TWC... 'save $60 a year by getting a land line!'. It's not 1984, I'm not getting a land line. If you want to save me $60 a year, just give me the $60 and .

I never used their customer service, except to cancel (which was fine), but the gouging and lack of decent bundling was ridiculous.

I spent 2 hours on the phone with them, talked to 6 different people and didn't get a damn thing accomplished. Even asking for a manager didn't help anything since they wouldn't put them on the line. They were talking to them(I could hear them talking) but they wouldn't let me speak to them. They had me calling(tried to tranfer but they kept hanging up on me) 4 different phone numbers because nobody wanted to fix the problem. Fug AT&T.

That may be the way to go. Unless there is something better in OP KS.

My parents have ATT DSL through Dish Network's packages...

It kicks my ass...runs great and never goes offline

At my pad i'm forced to have TWC Cable internet and it's been great but has it's moments where it goes offline.

Forgive me for laughing, but that's the AT&T customer service I've come to know and love. If you love talking on the phone to random people, call AT&T customer service. They'll make a 15 minute call take an hour.

We had a problem a couple weeks ago about some incoming channels that weren't working on one of our T1's. I was sick, so my wife called to try to resolve the problem. I told her to call phone # xxx-xxx-xxxx, but have a pen and paper handy. When she asked why, I said they will initially transfer you to someone else because you've "dialed the wrong number", once you get to that person, they will say that you need to talk to the department that just transferred you - and that person will transfer you back.

Once you are back to the original department, they'll say that the 2nd person shouldn't have transferred you back and then he'll give you a "better phone #" for you to call.

Long story short, she called and ended up being transferred 7 times and all she got out of it was 2 other "better phone #'s" to try.
