With the recent Tiger Woods affair in the news, it makes me wonder if the majority of men are douchebags to their wives? So, out of curiousity, what is ur affair status? What do u think causes men to have an affair?

I'm asking only the men, (sry ladies).

Been married for 3 years and will never cheat, however when I was younger and stupid I was the "other guy" with a married chick.

The historical statistics tell us that 50% of all married people will have an affair. Since we don't even have one admiited affair, even after a divorce on here we have the be the best group of moral god fearing eagle scouts the world had produces or we have some liars among us.

My wife once asked if I thought about sex with other women.

I said "Yes, Everyday"

Her follow up question was will I be faithful.

I said "I would not make her a promise that I might break, but that the love and respect for her far out ways any desire to lose her trust".

It would be easy for me to say I would never be unfaithful, but the fact is no one ever can promise that. Everyone has different ideas of what constitutes cheating. There is mental, emotional and physical. Due you draw the line at touching, at penetration, at expressions of desire. It depends on you level of passion and how you express it. In the past,
I have had looks that can be more satisfying than a kiss. I have experienced a more intense feeling with the brush of a hand than with penetration.

Sure, I think about other women. but I waited for 7 years for my wife.
Every time I see her I get the same feeling I get when I first saw her.
She is my best friend that I want to see naked.

I said this to her once. "the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence if you don't water your own lawn."

It is human nature to covet beautiful things. But a wise man once told life can be boiled down to "Choice and Consequences".

I choose every day to be faithful to my wife.

I will now step down from the soap box.

I did all of my running around before I got married. I saw NO reason to get married if I were still inclined to chase tail. Now, that is not to say that I don't look and occasionally flirt with girls, but it NEVER gets beyond that point.

Men were put on earth to spread their seed to as many females as possible. It is their duty to keep the women pregnant so our species can survive. It's really that simple. Monogamy is not suited to how a man's brain is wired. In fact it's the exact opposite. While a man may love one woman more than any other his desire to penetrate other females will always exist. This is the reason so many men give in and cheat.

After all we are nothing more than highly advanced animals.
