I am by no means a Cassel fan. He's a starting backup, at best. However, in looking at what's on the bench, I'm not convinced he isn't the best we've got (and that's really saying something about Quinn and Stanzi). IMO, it's almost like we're caught in a catch 22.

Also, let's say, by some miracle, Pioli actually drafts a QB in the first round. Who would you want?

Not saying Quinn is good....but at least he can throw that ****ing football and will stand in the pocket and not shit his pants when pressure arrvies from opposing defenses.

I don't think Pioli has earned the right or shown the ability to pick a QB. You can't let him make that decision.

He's got to go.

And as to your point about not benching Cassel because there isn't a good plan B... Who cares? Throw us a bone and just get rid of the guy so we can feel better about that 1 thing in this miserable season.

If Quinn is worse? Fine. That just gives us a higher draft pick. But rid us of Cassel.

How do you KNOW?

When has Stanzi or Quinn been in a Regular season game as the leader of the Starters on THIS Chiefs team?

Chemistry and leadership is key here.
The team MAY just rally around one of these guys. The best thing to do is FIND OUT. If not, cut them this offseason.

Your backup needs to be ready to play if your starting qb is incapable of doing the job. Cassel is incapable. Try Quinn. It's not like we need to keep Cassel in to protect our record, which is currently positioning us as the dead last AFC West team yet again.
