how about this 2013 staff?

Just dreaming.

Eric Decosta-GM
Bill Kuharich-vice president of player personnel
Jay Gruden-HC
Whoever Jay wants as his OC, he'd call plays
either
Keith Butler (Steelers LB coach) or Jim Tomsula (49'ers d-line coach) for DC.

Decosta is probably the most qualified guy that's NOT a GM yet.

Kuharich was pretty much responsible for signing or drafting: Priest Holmes, Willie Roaf-and pretty much all of our best players still on the team.

Gruden has been a successful head coach (albeit in lesser leagues) so the job is not foreign to him, is a former longtime QB and has done wonders with Dalton in Cinci. He's young and will likely coach for a long time. Perfect guy to draft and develop a young QB. While he's a WC guy, Cinci throws downfield a lot more than the old school versions. Plus, big physical receivers like Bowe and Baldwin tend to do well in that offense.

Both Butler and Tomsula are successful aggressive 3-4 coaches, which fit our personnel. Both have several years of proven player development for solid organizations.

Draft Geno or Barkley and you're off to the races.

Just throwing some names around.

If a guy wants a GM job to separate himself from the herd, KC is the perfect place. The Pioli regime that soured KC's reputation is completely gone. These guys will be totally free to bring in their own guys.

No to Cowher, John Gruden, or Reid. I want a young hungry coach who wants to make a name for themselves, not ones that either retired or got fired.

Same goes for Decosta.

How about this?

GM Ross
HC Reid
OC Marty Mornhinweg
DC Rex Ryan (fired from Jets)

Not bad in a fantasy world.
I like Marc Ross, but hate the rest of that.

Reid, next to Tony Dungy is the most overrated piece of crap over the last 15 years at HC.

And how about that scapegoating job he did on Juan Castillo?

Holgorsen is one of the most innovative offensive minds in football at any level. Period.

Bumpas is Holgorsen's twin on the defensive side of the ball. TCU has been ranked #1 in defense nationally three times since his hire in 2004 and he's put every team he's coached on the map defensively. (He was D-coord at Navy in 1997 and had them ranked 6th nationally.)
When you pull your head out of the O-Line ass, you seem like a pretty smart fella.

I like this scenario.

Let's go new, fresh, and take a chance.

Andy Reid? Hell no. Marty Moronwhig with him? No thanks.

I'm warming up to Cowher. This team can't gamble with another unproven HC. It has a ready roster when the QB spot gets fixed.

HC - Cowher
OC - Possibly Chan if he gets fired from Buff
DC - Rex.
