I've been a cigar smoker for 30 years. I started smoking Arturo Fuente and Te Amo's until I discovered P.G. Cigars, Paul Garmirian, in the mid 80's.
They draw great, have a nice range of flavors, are well reviewed in Cigar Aficionado, hand rolled by Davidoff and burn nice and even. http://www.pgcigars.com/ Their website has a GREAT size chart for all the newbies to understand length and ringsize along with types. I'm very fortunate that the founder and his son have their HQ store in McLean VA and I stop in frequently to smoke and shoot the shit with them. http://www.mcleancigars.com/ Great cigars and smoked by Clinton, Bush, former CIA director George Tenet and most high end politicos here in the DC area. They run from $8-25 a cigar on average.

I love sun grown stuff. Fuente Rosado sun grown are good, Flor de las Antillas are fantastic!
Alec Bradley black market and Tempus are great. Oliva V, and Master Blends 3 are killer sticks too. My favorite mild-medium cigar is Alec Bradley American Sun Grown. Also, around Father's Day look for Opus X and Fuente Anejo. Hard to find but amazing. |

I tend to like stronger Cigars, my favorites are the Gurkha Titan, Cohiba Black and Man o War Ruination. The nub double maduro is also really good but it's a short cigar and always ends too soon.
If you are just getting into them I'd reccomend going with some samplers till you find what you like. I started out with http://cigar.com and http://cigarsinternational.com. If you sign up for their mailing lists they have pretty good deals every once in a while. |

just make sure that when you order online that you don't get into that monthly cigar international magazine that I some how signed up for.

**** that, find a great cigar shop with a knowledgable owner who can teach you about cigars. They can hear your tastes, stuff you've liked, and point you in the right direction to new stuff.
Also, one must smoke a La Flor Dominicana Double Ligero Maduro chisel. |

I've ordered boxes from Cigar International before, but I always feel like ordering online is more of a long term deal. You're probably going to want to let those bad boys sit in your humidor for at least a month before you start smoking them. I'd recommend just going to a local cigar shop and trying different things until you start hitting shit that you like. Once you do that, you can start getting them by the box from online sources.

They aren't a real pricey cigar or anything, but I love CAO Black's. Great for the money.

I've never had a Perdomo Lot 23. That's going to be my 1st smoke of the year now. Hopefully we are going to get a warm weekend sometime soon. I like to smoke a cigar on the last weekend of every month during the warm weather time.
