Wings. How do YOU make them?
So I want to make some wings for tomorrow. Thinking of going the slow cooker route but have never made them. Do you have a favorite recipe/method?

If you have a Kroger-owned store near you, I get the big bag of what I mentioned above. It's in a light blue bag, about three pounds, I think. They are usually in the "family-size" freezer section.

I'm going to go with my deep-fired version. **** it, it's the super bowl, dam-the-colersterol...

1) Go buy some thawed wings NOW!!
2) Mix 4 eggs, 1/5 cups of butter milk (see below), pepper, and usually some chicken seasoning
3) Put wings in mix, in zip-lock bag, let sit over night in the 'fridge.
4) Tomorrow make a mixture of flower, Italian bread crumbs, more chicken seasoning rub, and crushed cornflakes.
5) Heat deep fryer or oil to 355
6) Strain the wings but don't wash them off
7) Coat the still-damp wings in the breading mixture (but not too thickly)
8) Fry in the deep fryer. I find that minx are usually in for 6-7 minutes
9) After that you let the rest for 3-4 minutes on paper towels, and fold in you favorite wing-sauce to taste.


If you don't have butter milk just mix 1 tablespoon of either white vinegar or lemon juice into a cup of milk and let it sit for 5-10 minutes. Works fine every time...

Coat fresh wings with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Grill indirect at 375 degrees. Brush on your favorite sauce 20 minutes before they're done.

I go to Popeyes, give a $10 bill to the lady at the drive-thru and get wings back. Works well for me.
