, this makes me sad. A chick or 2 in the crew is ok, but all female? NOOOOO... maybe they pull it off, but no confidence in that.

Actually; wiig, McCarthy, rogan and Franco COULD pull it off. Maybe. And am I the only one who actually laughs at McCarthy? I mean, not my favorite, but the wife wanted to watch a couple of her movies and I thought her and bullock did good. Hell, put bullock in the mix here somehow.

Yeah, bullock for Murray, McCarthy for Dan A, rogan for Remis, franco as keymaster Rick M, Wiig as gatekeeper Sig W. I like the potential of a wiig and bullock sexual chemistry to remake Murray and Weavor.....

Bridesmaids was one of the worst movies I've ever seen. This does not fill me with hope when it comes to re-envisioning of one of my favorite childhood films.

Personally, I think it's just a bad idea altogether. A reunion movie with the original cast could have been fun but Bill Murray was never interested and with the passing of Harold Ramis, that idea is completely moot.

I'm not interested in any Ghostbusters film without the original cast. It's akin to remaking Caddyshack or Back to the Future or Animal House. It's completely unnecessary and there's nothing a new cast could bring that ever match the original, let alone, exceed it.

And as I mentioned in another thread, I don't think Paul Feig films are funny or entertaining.

Yep, the actors are the reason GB is great, not the story.

Absolutely. The chemistry between Ramis and Murray was fantastic, whether Ramis was directing Murray as in Caddyshack or they were playing off each other like they did in Stripes and Ghostbusters.

And I really dislike Melissa McCarthy. I can already see her turn as a frustrated, unnecessarily vulgar Ghostbuster.

No thanks.

I liked Bridesmaids a lot. But I'm starting to think that was more Kristen Wiig and her screenplay

Pretty much this. Another movie I'll never spend my time watching.
