Jarran Reed suspended for 6 games

Guess he wasn't the victim of an extortion plot.

Everybody demands transparency these days, too. Yeah, it'd be nice if the full truth was always available, but sometimes it's just not, and then people get outraged if they can't view the full play-by-play and critique every step of the process.

Even Mike Florio. The guy has OBVIOUSLY invested a lot of his time into observing the events unfold in this Tyreek Hill situation. Yet he goes, "Ummm excuse me, Goodell! You missed something! Tyreek threatened Crystal on the recording!!"

No, they didn't miss something. They knew it was there, and in the hours of investigation they completed in which they obtained information that Florio nor any of the public is privy to, they determined that comment was not a physical threat. They didn't twirl their mustaches and go, "Curse that Mike Florio for sharing the truth with everybody! But how do we proceed with our evil plan to make sure peoples' fantasy teams don't have to suffer without Tyreek Hill for any stretch of the season????"

Context, context, context is everything and apparently Reed's context did not bode well for him.

Could have stopped right there.

Yesterday I heard NFL Network talking about Hill’s son’s broken arm. In the first paragraph of Peter King’s Column he talks about the broken arm. I can understand why people are confused and upset when media and leading NFL commentators keep repeating the same misinformation over and over again, but at some point Hill needs to have his lawyers come out with the facts to refute the BS that is being repeated by people who should know better.

It wouldn’t surprise me if Goodell realized that doling our punishment for words said in private would create a whole new cottage industry of extortion. That, or he acted human for once (provided all the exculpatory evidence some say exists) and realized it was a set-up from the get-go.

Exactly. I mean, that SHOULD be the logical conclusion.

But we have to understand O.City, that the world is full of seriously stupid mother****ers. Instead of following the logical conclusion, they throw up bullshit conspiracy theories about ratings and TD's.

Wow. The guy had 10.5 sacks last year. Unless he's a one-year wonder, that's a hit for the Seahawks.

Agreed. I have said that eventually someone needs to come out and give the full story for TH and the decision they made in order to justify that decision so as to shut down Libel/Defamation Press Corp. BUT maybe they are waiting on the FBI's findings first on the Espinal family because if they bring charges against the Espinal's this will be enough to show why TH got no suspension. Just let the FBI do it. Nuff said.

Or it could be a potential legal thing if they try to explain why they didn't suspend because then they would have to make suspected allegations without naming names and that could get very sticky legally.

It occurred to me recently that maybe the public has always been incapable of understanding nuance, but now we have to hear about it.

Luckily for the Seahawks their division is much weaker than it was several years ago with even the Rams taking a step back this year.

Well I think the main thing that freed Hill was the fact that his woman's family was attempting to extort money from him. Which is Kinda a big deal and a reason why all the BS went down exactly how it did.
