I'd say I'm not much on speeches, but I was a speech major in college. So I guess I'm qualified to give one.

I'd like to talk about all those who didn't make it this far to see a day like last year vs. the Pats, and today. My dad is one of those. He passed in 2011.

My pops Kenny was a great Chiefs fan, never gave up on them. I sure wish he could have been around for PMII. I'll be representing the family today at Arrowhead with the lovely Mrs B, who is every bit a Chiefs fan as I am, and tough enough to sit through all kinds of weather, until the very end.

I don't believe in beseeching the almighty for sporting events, but it sure would be nice not to ****ING LOSE today.

That's all I have to say this morning. I've sometimes been the biggest pessimistic, acerbic, sarcastic Chiefs fan on the planet. But I'm going to follow my own advice to others and chill out, try to enjoy this amazing ride and be OK with whatever happens. It's football. Not life and death. I've already died many many times as a Chiefs fan. Someday the coin has to land in our favor.

Hoping they bring it home for my pops, and the CPers we've lost over the last decade, and for Clark's pop...today.

Let's do this.

Yeah, it's just a game. I grew up watching my dad go absolutely crazy over the Chiefs in the late 60s and early 70s. Some great memories that are being brought back up again. My sister gets physically sick from the crazy ways this team has found to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Just finally do this; I'm sick of fans of other teams constantly reminding me of the failures of the Chiefs when I remember all of them like it was yesterday.

Same here. Wish my dad could have seen this team.

It's odd that I feel like he is with me. I mean, he is. In a box. On top the fireplace. What I mean is it feels like he's just in another room and as soon as the game starts he'll come walking in.

The Chiefs have an opportunity to make a lot of people really happy today. Today will be one of those days you tell the grand kids about...

I'm thinking about my dad today, who was a Chiefs fan from the day they moved to KC. He attended the Christmas Day longest game, while I watched from home at 9 years old. When they moved to Arrowhead he bought season tickets so I got to see them play all through the 70s. I'm fortunate to have seen Dawson, Taylor, Buchanon, Lanier, and all the other greats play because of him. He passed in 1988. I wish he could have lived to see this day.
