Hey Jeff! Not playing darts much now days. Going to school eats up alot of my free time and darts night usually lasts till after midnite. I did start bowling in league again this year. I'm pretty inconsistant. Last week was 190,158,233. The week before was 159,133,246. My avg is at 181 right now. My biggest problem is spare conversions. I'm horrible at it and rarely bowl a clean game. I'm starting to come around though. It's been 6 years since I bowled regularly in league.
BTW, I have bowled TWO 300's. :) Damn space bar not working... [This message has been edited by Dartgod (edited 12-08-2000).] |

I bought a resin-reactive Track Triton Heat with my jar money [throw all change in to a jar and six months later you have a couple hundred dollars]. It kicked butt until they über-oiled the damned lanes. It slides a long way and has a great finish, but it can only do so much on these lanes.
We decided to move to another bowling house at the end of the season. There has been much weeping and wailing from the bowlers, but the owners just slough it off with "they are in accordance with ABC." xoxo~ gaz disloyal, ungrateful butterfly.
|

The previous post was a knee-jerk reaction and may have come across as a bit peevish and harsh. I wish to apologize for any mental anguish you may have suffered and pass on my sincere congratulations. It is a mighty accomplishment once, not to mention twice. xoxo~ gaz grinding his teeth.
|

Jeff - Looking forward to playing you. I was sweating it. Kloster had J.R. Redmond going on MNF and I figured he'd have a breakout game to make up the 13 point lead I had on him. I was relieved when I found out Redmond was inactive.
I would talk some smack to ya, but everytime I do that I lose. I prefer to keep it low profile, that way if I crash and burn I can slither away unnoticed. |

Gaz - Apology accepted.
I forgot to mention I also have a 290 (ringing ten-pin in the 1st frame), a 289 and several 279's. Most of those were many moons ago though. Age is finally catching up to me. :) *feeling a bit guilty for my good fortune* ya gotta love this edit feature... [This message has been edited by Dartgod (edited 12-08-2000).] |

Dartgod - Your going to school instead of being pro bowler? Spares have been my hardest thing to get on track as well, I'm getting pretty solid at them again. Pretty much I have always had to pick up lots of spares and never gotten many strikes, too many solid single pins. 2 years ago I was subbing in a league and only did that once in a while, before that it had been 7 years since I was in a league full time.

Yeah, I know. 279's, 290's, and 300's can win some pro tournaments, but those 130's can be downright embarrassing.

Dartgod - Even in my couple years as a sub I held around a 205, and never much bowled under 190. Of course the fact that I never much got over 225 is an entirely more painful issue.

Sounds like you're a damn site more consistant than me. I never averaged over 197 in a full season.
