He would be a natural fit as a commentator or even an actor, but if any multi-multi-millionaire ex-player is willing to take on the workload of an NFL head coach, it's Peyton Manning.

He had a good career that was made great by changing rule enforcement in the game. He'll be missed. Good luck in retirement Peyton, because I'll be damned surprised if you ever play again.

Guess they figure that Collins 3 weeks of learning the offense trumps him considering how tough that offense is to learn. If that injury is even close to a threat for career ending, you would think they would jump on Garrard.

Man I had a bad feeling when I took Peyton in my stupid fantasy draft. Figured it was worth the gamble in round 4 or 5. Now I'm just kind of wishing I had stuck with my initial instinct, which was to not play this year. Ah well. Makes the football season a lot more entertaining for me.

Who did you take as a backup? My friend took Manning in our draft at about the same time, and he said about the same thing when he made the pick.

AFAIK the old rules regarding acceleration of signing bonus are still in place, so they'd probably be significantly above their cap if they did.

The reports that he's out 2-3 months are total garbage. Make other plans, FFL owners.
