2010 Kansas City Royals Repository thread
All Royals All The Time!

After consultation with others who peruse the game threads we decided to create this as a repository for all things Royals. Minor league news, AL (ahem) Central (thanks Vonne) news and anything Royals can be found here.

alnorth, me and atleast 5 others will continue the game threads as usual. But if you locate something of interest.. ANYTHING.. deals on apparel, best ways in/out of the stadium, giveaways, great stories from this season or from seasons gone by, rumors, trades, anything.... feel free to post it here.

If a big story breaks, you can still start a thread about it. There is merely an all inclusive thread that will make a easy for us all to keep up with all things Royals.

The rotation is going to be really, really bad. I don't share alnorth's optimism at this point.

Hoch has potential, but the fact that the staff ****ed his arm by trying to get him to throw a screwball should set off about ten thousand red flags. We probably signed our de facto ace today, actually.

Sadly, you may be right about that. I'm buckling in for what should be one of the 3 worst KC Royals teams to ever play for this Franchise. I wish I were Rip Van Winkle, and could wake up sometime around September call-ups, 2012.

If it's any consolation, our lineup looked historically bad on paper last year, and it thankfully didn't live up to this promise. Perhaps we'll get moderately surprised again.

For '11, I'll be trying to get to June as quickly as possible to see how Moose performs with the big club.

My favorite part about the Royals threads is that even though there aren't that many dedicated fans on this site, those who are include some of the best overall posters on CP: you, chi, sure-oz, kcmizzou, wti, reaper, etc. Even some good (yet worthless ****ing) Cardinals fans are solid contributors: hamas, dj's tiny right scrotum, etc.

As the Royals have proven as recently as just a few years ago, it could be MUCH worse, as in a year where one guy plays like a #3, #5, and 3 guys who make you scream "God, why are they still earning a paycheck!".

I think this is a pretty solid signing. Nothing to lose with it. I would really like to see Chen get signed. With Francis, Hoch, Chen (hopefully), Mazarro, and Davies/Sullivan, it would be hard to believe that pitching will win us many games, but it should at least keep us in about half of them. Unfortunately, that means the offense will have to actually do something........

I see another 60-70 win season.
