![]() The Cleveland Browns Select: Victor Hampton CB South Carolina Ok so Cleveland has a lot of picks so they have the luxury of taking chance on red flagged players. Victor Hampton is a great CB with tremendous elite ability. There is a question bout his anger problems and could cause a lot of penaltys however could add intensity to this D. |

Sorry Fellas, I was out all or at least most of the Day today. That said, on with the show! The Seattle Seahawks have some holes to fill at both Offensive Tackle and Guard. Seattle selects....James Hurst, OT, UNC. He didn't always look pretty doing it at UNC, but he almost always got the job done in both the Run and Pass games. This guy is a pretty durable guy, starting something like all 48 games during his Collegiate Career at UNC. He started all of his games there at LT, but might better suited to play as a Guard in the NFL. Either way he gives the Seahawks some position flexibility which is always a good thing! For the Record, I actually think this kid handled Clowney better than Lewan did.

Yeah right. GM's hire head coaches that believe in a team the same as they do. The HC then picks his coordinators and so on. So a GM will draft players that fit what they want to do as a team. Which should mean that the HC and coordinators should also be happy. Any input from coordinators is very minimal as far as picking a particular player.

Coaching schemes dictate player types that are scouted and drafted. Coaches are asked to evaluate players and often break ties in the processing of boards. Last edited by kccrow; 04-26-2014 at 08:29 PM.. |

With the 147th pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, the Atlanta Falcons select:
Ahmad Dixon, S, Baylor ![]() The Falcons needed more help in their secondary as they let Thomas Decoud go. While Dixon is a bit raw in deep zone coverage due to spending most of his college career playing a hybrid linebacker-safety role in the box for the Bears, he has good physical skills and instincts to develop into a good player from the safety position. He can drop down and cover TEs and larger slot receivers and also isn't afraid to deliver big hits over the middle. |

The Minnesota Vikings select....Aaron Lynch, DE/OLB, USF. Aaron Lynch has all the potential in the world to be great in the NFL. He is similar to Clowney in terms of his size and speed, and there were flashes of brilliance, yet Lynch never really showed his true potential in college. He transferred from Notre Dame after just one short season, and he didn't quite turn heads at USF either. That said, when the kid wants to play and actually shows up, his talent is undeniable. Here in the fifth round, Zimmer and the Vikes could take Lynch knowing the potential he has....there would still be a bit of risk with this pick, but in the fifth round, it is a risk worth taking.
